Monty's Magnificent Mane

This book has gorgeous illustrations and is so beautifully written. It's a great story with a good moral lesson. The text invites the reader to make predictions. And to discuss what lesson Monty learns about true friendship. I bought a copy for my grandson and will buy another for my house.

This is a wonderful book to read with your child on your lap. The artwork is wonderful. Wish I had a print of Monty's mane. I am going to check to see if there are more books by this author.

Purchased for my 4 year old grandson. He really enjoyed the story. Asks to have it read at bed time each night. Illustrations are good and encourges him to add to the story.

The story is lovely and the illustrations will be appreciated by adults, certainly, as well as children. My only caveat: I bought the book for my 3 year old grandsons. There are a couple of pages that were much to scary for them ( I think it was more the illustrations than anything). They were really engrossed in the story, so their solution was to turn their backs on those pages while listening to me read. By the 3rd or 4th read, they were happy to look at those pages.

Love it, it sounds like me and my hair. I at times get to obsessed with my hair. I spend way too much time and effort to make it look perfect and when it does not I get upset. It is a beautiful book.

Entertaining book.....great pictures.

My granddaughter and I loved the story and especially loved the illustrations. We have read it to her over and over and over. It was a hit!

Lovely book. My son is called Monty so a must buy! Beautiful illustrations and nice story both my 4 year old and 1 year old will sit to listen to the story.
