Directions say to cure griddle. When cleaning, scrape with spatula (I used a plastic spatula) to remove debris then cover with hot water. This doesn't seem to work properly. I now clean griddle with soapy sponge, rinse and dry. I then use curing process again. Otherwise, works well. Great for my griddle needs (pancakes, eggs, etc.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you bought the EcoQue, buy this, too *by T***N on April 11, 2016* I bought this at the same time I bought the EcoQue ECO-70120 Portable Stainless Steel Grill, 12-Inch. I first tried it out while camping and cooked toast, corned beef hash, and eggs over easy on it -- super delicious! I haven't used it much since then, mainly due to bad weather on my last few camping trips when I didn't get the grill out at all. While I use the grill at home, there's not much point to using the griddle when I can use a frying pan on the stove.A couple of things I noticed about using the griddle with the grill: You can tilt the griddle a bit in the grill to try to level the surface, although you need a pretty level surface to start with. Even then, you probably won't get it perfectly level. Also, whatever you cook on the griddle will get some of that charcoal grill flavor to it, especially if you use the lid, since smoke will come up around the sides. That might be really great for certain foods (like meats), but it may not be a flavor you want with your blueberry pancakes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect! *by M***` on February 13, 2014* Highly recommend getting this heavy duty grill for your EcoQue.
