for a 65+ elderly with muffled ears problems need a basic (high tech not necessary) & simple to operate alarm clock for daily use, no tick tack noise to affect sleeping, this retro look clock just fits, in addition personally don't like brands. overall saying this is the one with reasonable price below £10, love it

This cute retro alarm clock does the job. A good LOUD ring that will waken me every time. If you are in the habit of oversleeping, this is what you need.

It's a brilliant looking alarm clock that good at waking me up. I honestly really like it but I did have one big issue which I should address. One of the wires in it was completely loose and made the clock unable to work. Thankfully I had a soldering kit show I was able to repair it, but for people who does know how to solder or simply doesn't have one then this is an issue. Besides that the clock was great and am sure that this was an unusual situation.

Very easy to use, I would have preferred it to have been wind up, but I guess you get what you pay for. Having said that it keeps time well and the alarm is loud enough to wake me up, usually a mammoth task, I can sleep though a violent thunderstorm right over my head.

The alarm clock does exactly as it says on the tin, it will wake you up, it has nice little glow in the dark lights on the hands, and it has a button on the back for night time usage. The biggest complaint is that it works a little TOO well, in a bad way. It will wake you up, but it will likely wake up the entire house too (And maybe the whole street). I've had some mornings where I quite literally jump in fright as this thing rings rapidly and loudly, which as a guy with autism (Thus, sensitive hearing) its rather counter-productive as some mornings my first instinct is not to get up and turn the damn thing off (Or throw it as I've considered multiple times), but to instead cover my ears at how LOUD it is and try not to freak out as I wonder why I subjected myself to this specific model. (You'd think it was right next to my ear from the way I'm describing it, but it's on the other side of my room!) What doesn't help is that there's no button to hit or anything, to turn it off, best as I can tell you have to pick up the alarm clock itself (Whilst its ringing), turn the damn thing around and flick the switch to turn the alarm function off entirely! Which, isn't great if you maybe forget to turn it back on when you go to bed in the evening. I continue to solely use my phone instead and only use this for times where I HAVE to be up, alongside using my phone alarm with no exceptions, because it basically guarantees I wake up BEFORE it goes off, the god-awful, loud ringing this thing makes makes sure my body will wake up at least 10 times before it even gets near that time just to avoid having to hear the piercingly loud ringing this clock makes, you can consider if that's actually a plus or not, but for me, where I can barely get enough sleep as it is due to a rotating job schedule, this kinda makes a massive difference. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because it works. It doesn't go beyond 3 stars because the sound it makes to wake me up may as well be a war crime as far as I'm concerned, and while that might be an exaggeration, in those times of it ringing... It sure doesn't feel like it. And while yes one may go "Its an alarm clock, what did you expect? If it didn't wake you up it'd be a bad product", and sure its a valid point, I just also don't wish to experience a heart attack in the mornings, which this thing consistently does.

Bought for elderly man hard of hearing and he said it was great. Looks more expensive than cost and nice large dial also

Lovely looking clock but doesn’t work. The second hand goes around fine but not the hour or minute hands and therefore it does not keep the correct time. I have had the clock a couple of weeks and have tried re-setting the time on a couple of occasions but it still doesn’t work (it’s not a battery issue as the second hand moves around the clock just fine). Sadly I will be returning which is a shame as it really is a beautiful looking clock.
