Argus Eco+Solar Panel

I had this model , argus eco, Reolink camera about five years ago, and it was working well until recently, when some functions stopped working . It would no longer store recordings or send emails. I've just replaced it with a new argos eco , and it's working well, as expected. The images are clear, good quality, and the person detection is good. You don't need to run wires into the house, you don't need to drill holes and the solar panel charges the camera battery even in cloudy conditions in the winter. Set up is very easy with no messing around with port forwarding in your router-the reolink sofware does it all for you. I would say that for the money, it's unlikely you could do better. It's early days with this new camera, but so far, no complaints. Edit: After changing the sd card in the five year old argos eco that this new one replaced, I found the old one was still working fine and sent pictures by email.

Although I bought this Reolink Argus Eco camera nine months ago, I waited until I could assess reliability before posting a review. The camera came well packaged with good instructions. It is well made and smart. Setup was very easy and quick. I have been very impressed with the sensitivity of the alarm, promptness of recording start after the sensor is triggered and quality of the recorded images. Audio seemed weak at the camera end i.e. I had to be very close to the camera to hear anything from the camera speaker, but maybe I hadn’t adjusted the settings sufficiently. I use the camera inside my home to monitor it during extended periods away. It’s set up to send me an email and a snapshot when the sensor is triggered. I can then watch recorded footage remotely. Battery life is excellent (still 80% charge after 2 months). Daytime viewing is crystal clear and night vision is sufficient. The Reolink app (installed on my iPad) is user-friendly and allows for a wide range of remote settings and adjustments. I can’t comment on the solar panel since I’ve not used it (the camera is indoors). Anyone wondering whether to buy this camera should look at the Reolink support site – it’s clear from the clarity and detail of the guidance there that Reolink is a quality company with good customer support.

I bought two of these cameras to cover the rear garden and due to where they were going they needed to be wireless with solar charging. The cameras themselves are well made and in HD provide a really crisp and clear picture. When you have to drop the resolution they are still OK but not like HD, more on that later. Both sets of mountings are sturdy and firmly grip the camera or solar panel. It even comes with a strap and plate so you can easily fix it to objects that you dont want to drill into (posts, trees etc). They are easy to install and set up. For storage, I am using Kingston Canvas Select Plus 64 GB Class 10 cards but TBH so long as you use good quality memory cards from a reputabele company you should be fine. Just avoid the cheaper/budget brands. The big negative is to do with the way that the cameras handle their its WiFi connection. It does not seem to matter how good your WiFi is, the cameras will usualy report one problem or another. You will get repeated messages stating Playback Failed only for the next recording to work fine. When watching a live stream, it always suggests that you drop the video quality down from HD to Fluent.... regardless of the network. When looking for recording you will frequently encounter a delay as it refreshes itself. This is SO annoying and totally unneccersary. Hopefully it's something they can sort out in the future. Am I happy that I bough them? Yes, but only becasue I have others installed which are worse. In short, if they could fix the slow WiFi spped then these would have been an easy 5 stars. As it is they only get 4 due to the poor way it handles WiFi.

I was looking for a quality outdoor security camera so I could monitor our motorhome that's now stored at the side of the house. I wanted to avoid drilling holes through the external brick walls and messing with our electric cables. It also needed to operate via our WiFi network. After much research I decided to try this Reolink WiFi camera with solar charging. Installation was very simple and neat. The length of cable attached to the solar panel allows it to be positioned up to 4m from the camera. Instructions for connecting the camera could be clearer, however connecting to the app. was reasonably easy, a little more complex disyphering the instructions for the PC client. Picture quality night and day is excellent and the pir works well. Overall I'm impressed with this camera system and would recommend it as a low cost, easy to install, security solution.

I bought 3 of these cameras as I did not want to get involved in installation of power lines to external cameras. So battery powered and charged by solar seemed perfect. Sadly the solar is no use in the winter. All 3 cameras failed due to dead batteries without me knowing. Notification of battery status is linked to motion detection. I did not want to be notified of all motion picked up but that meant when the battery was not getting enough charge from solar I was not notfied. However, I did not think this to be an issue given solar would keep the battry chaerged which is the whole point of getting these expensive camers in the first place. For a month all 3 were dead. My neighbour had an incident and asked for my recordong of it. When I went to retrieve it that is when I founnd the camera batteries had been exhausted for over a month. So the major benefit of security camnera was lost. The camera themselves are very good but must have a wired power source for reliability.. The solar charging is not fit for purpose. I have wasted a small fortune on these cameras. They are all installed high up and need a ladder to access them. Am I supposed to go up and down ladders every few weeks to re-chaerge them? Useless.

Got 2 of these now, the price has dropped considerably! Easy to install and set up, the solar panel only needs 2-3 hours daylight to keep the battery at 100% all day. Images are clear, the sound is good although does pick up wind noise but not a real problem. Talk back is good and you can talk to someone remotely through your phone from anywhere. I was in Dom Rep and was able to speak to my step daughter back home no problem. No wiring means these are a cinch to install, just connect to wi-Fi and you’re away! Can’t sing the praises of these cameras enough, easily comparable to some more expensive wired brands and a third of the price. Would defo recommend and buy again.

This is a great camera, I installed mine in late January. I did charge the camera a little while I worked out positioning and installation... I had the perfect spot but this required the bracket to be at a side angle and when connecting the camera the Antenna would hit the bracket making it impossible, this camera needs the brackets and camera to face forward. So I installed it where it would fit, looking at my drive and main door... When I installed it the battery was at 70% but after a lot of playing around with the app and desktop app it did reduce this to 25%... However with the Solar Panel installed, even in these winter period it has managed to get to 100%.. I had the sensitive set at 90 and I was getting pings on my phone constantly, reviewing the footage I couldn't see anything that may of triggered it, over time I have managed to get a happy medium.. Now the bad side. The mobile app is great, getting you notifications notion is detected, however on playback, I see no motion, even when I drop sensitivity, you must set Sensitivity to your liking.. You can download your playback clips easily. The desktop app is well hit an miss... I can see my phone connected to the camera but the desktop app says "State:Login Failed", So this is my biggest issue, all recordings are done onto a SD card, which is fine and you can download the images to you phone or PC, what you can't do is set up a FTP to a cloud server so these images are kept off your site.. so basically someone can steal your camera, even if it's high up, you will get a notification (but you get lots of notifications depending on where you put the camera, and eventually you don't look at them), by that time your camera is gone...

I purchased this product as a convenient wireless way of security for my yard. It was in place within 15 minutes and setup on the phone ect within 5, so was happy with that. The picture quality can be adjusted in live view mode and is noticeably different and with some playing about the motion senser is most definitely adequate for my needs. The night vision in my opinion could be improved but again certainly not bad for the price of the product. The app is very easy to use and is quite intuitive in its layout. You can arrange within the app a scedule for the pir sensors etc throught the days (good idea). There is an audible alarm that can be activated manually or upon motion, this can be configured also. With this feature also comes the "intercom" function, so great when I need to call my daughter in from playing out. All in all a very good system for the price.

Şu ana kadar her şey yolunda. Kurulumu kolay oldu. Alexa ile uyumlu ama bazen Alexa açamıyor nedenini anlamadım. Çözünürlük iyi. Belirli alanları alarm sınırının dışında bırakabiliyor. Çok iyi ambalaj. Çok iyi kalite malzeme. Montaj parçaları çok iyi.

Installatie van de camera is niet moeilijk. Had wat moeite om de client software aan de praat te krijgen maar de service van reolink heeft me prima geholpen en uiteindelijk was dat ook een fluitje van een cent. Wij hebben geen goede wifi connectie en toch na paar maanden nog geen enkele uitval gehad. Wel soms paar keer de app resynchen om verbinding te krijgen met de camera. De kwaliteit is prima. Ook het zonnepaneel werkt prima. Veel instelmogelijkheden zodat je de PIR aan en uit kan zetten wanneer je wilt, met wel of niet opnemen of een mail/push notificatie. Werkt allemaal prima. Ook de bewegingsdetectie werkt prima. Soms wat vertraging in maar heb het idee dat alles wordt geregistreerd. Als ik zelf door het beeld loop of met de auto wordt dat tot nu toe altijd gedetecteerd. De instellingen staan op hoogste gevoeligheid.

W tej cenie bardzo dobry produkt. Ciężko wymagać czegoś więcej na podstawowe potrzeby. Alarm jest głośny. Mikrofon bardzo mocny. Jakość obrazu bardzo dobra.

Estaba buscando una cámara que pudiera poner en cualquier lugar sin necesidad de conectar a la red eléctrica y después de comprar otras opciones y devolverlas adquirí la que sería la definitiva. La caja consta de la cámara, soporte, antena wifi, cable alimentación usb, cinta de sujeción (si no se pone tornillos), tornillos, placa solar con cable de 3 m, y soporte para placa solar. La cámara se conecta super fácil a través de la aplicación. Puede configurarse casi todo, horas de grabación, días, sonido de alarma activo/inactivo, calidad, etc. También puede usarse para hablar con quien está delante de la cámara, aunque tiene cierto retardo y el volumen no es algo que se escuche como un home cinema, pero cumple su función perfectamente. La batería debe de durar muchísimo, porque yo la tengo conectada a la placa y no puede comprobar su duración hasta agotar la batería, pero en una noche gasta un 2%, y luego por la mañana se vuelve a recargar al 100%. En esto recomiendan cargar la batería al máximo en casa con el cable que suministran antes de poner el panel solar. Los avisos de la aplicación funcionan perfectamente, y si has configurado el correo, te llega una imagen de lo que ha hecho saltar el sensor. Por lo que tienes al instante una imagen si no quieres iniciar la aplicación para ver el vídeo. También pueden descargarse los vídeos. Puedes compartir la cámara con otros usuarios (en el manual pone máximo 10). Yo estoy registrado, pero para compartir solo hace falta tener la aplicación en otro móvil y escanear el código QR que te dice la aplicación en el apartado de compartir dentro de configuración, pones la contraseña que has creado en tu cuenta y listo. Así lo tengo configurado en 3 móviles. Graba en tarjeta micro SD y también tiene la opción de guardar en la nube, pero yo no lo uso. Con una tarjeta de 32gb es más que suficiente porque dice que graba hasta 3000 videos, a partir de ahí borra los más antiguos, por lo que no gastará más memoria. Por decir algo negativo, casi todo en la cámara es de plástico y en otras marcas usan metal, por lo que no sé cómo aguantará el paso del tiempo. Por lo menos podrían haber hecho los soportes metálicos en vez de plástico. En definitiva, no puedo estar más contento. Y si tengo que comprar otra cámara de vigilancia, repetiría con Reolink, ya que su aplicación es muy completa y fácil de usar.
