It's a great place to store CDs after digitizing them. Each CD represents a personal fair use right to use the music. This box works perfectly to archive the originals should ever I have to establish my right to the personal use of the music. After each CD was digitized both the CD and the "liner notes" (often a bit awkward to pry from the clear plastic jewel cases) fit nicely in a 100 micron thick Maxtek Clear Transparent CPP Plastic CD/DVD Sleeve (ASIN B00S05R5QY). In turn, 200 CD & liner note packages fit comfortably in one box. The box assembles easily (no "fit tab B in slot Q" or hieroglyphic instructions needed) and seems quite robust. The only thing i could think of that detracts from this box is that the snaps on the side tend to snag on adjacent stuff when you slide the box off a shelf. I ended up putting thin cardboard between shelved boxes. Digitizing is a tedious job made a bit easier by these boxes and the good fortune to find a sleeve/envelope for the CD & liner notes that fits beautifully.

Very nice boxes, sides snap together well. Only 4 stars from me because of usage issues. Full of cds it's heavy so lacking in handles and the lid not being attached in any way and kind of loose means you have to take care moving it around. I would have loved to be able to stand them up on end but that's not going to work.

Light and sturdy. My CDs for perfectly, and it looks great on the shelf. I do wish it had some tabbed dividers, but I made some myself.

I have a large CD collection that is overflowing my CD bookshelves. Since I have imported all my discs into iTunes I decided that most of them do not need to be out. I found this storage box while doing a search and it looked perfect and had a great price. I debated between the single-row and double-row box and decided on the single-row since it seemed to me a little more stable with less flex which would help the snaps stay in place, a common problem on the double-wide boxes according to the reviews. At $4.88 a piece, for the single box option ($12.99 for the two box option) I thought I would take a chance and buy 5 boxes, the maximum allowed for the order I thought. They arrived and were very easy to put together, the lid is pre-assembled, and I was impressed with the quality. The snaps were tight, and the boxes hold together well when fully loaded. Many of my CD's are Japanese with obi strips, which I like to keep with the CD, so I have those in poly bags for extra protection. The CD's fit in the box nicely, even in the poly bags, and the lid just rests on the top of the CD's, which is fine as it is good for stacking. I was so impressed I wanted to buy another 5. I put together another order with those as my "add-ons", but at checkout I was informed that Amazon will not sell me any more. I guess there is no limit on the 2-packs for $12.99. I went over to Staples which sells them for $5.99, with free shipping and you can buy as many as you want, I bought 10. It may not be much of a savings over the 2-pack, but I think that is a better way to do business. For as much as I buy from Amazon, this was not a positive experience. Update: I ordered 10 more from Staples, for roughly the same price as 5 two-packs. The quality was fairly consistent, except for one which didn't have tight snaps on one side. It would unsnap on its own after a while, so I followed the recommendation of another reviewer and used Gorilla Glue on the snaps. That worked fine. Another reviewer mentioned receiving a box that was missing a side. I noticed on many of mine the sides were stuck to the bottom panel and I had to use a little effort to peal them off. They are a fine product, but just be aware of a few minor issues.

Sturdy, easy to put together and easy to store if you want to put them away. I use them to store cd's and dad's in my tv cabinet. Others used for storage downstairs. They have many sizes. Glad I purchased them.

I purchased this product for a family member who already has several of these boxes, All In black. However, after several years of use, the cardboard material had naturally lost its structural integrity, and the boxes were splitting at the corners I will say that this box is basically identical in structure and Design to the ones purchased years ago. There appear to have been no changes made to the design of the product. Construction is simple, consisting of unfolding the box, refolding it to the proper form, and clamping several metal buttons together. I was told that alphabetized cards were included, to help keep films organized in alphabetical order. These boxes are meant for the storage of discs kept in paper disc sleeves, not full size DVD and Blu-ray cases. (Please note: this product does not come with any paper disk sleeves. They must be purchased separately) Consequently, as these boxes hold hundreds of discs in sleeves, they become quite heavy when fully filled, and are not safe for elderly family members and children to be lifting or transporting. Also, please keep in mind the location of pets and small animals in your home when moving these boxes around. All in all, these boxes are reasonably sturdy, affordable, and do the job they're meant to do. They hold hundreds of movies and music discs in an easily organized fashion for a low price. However, due to their size and weight, keep in mind the safety of elderly family members, children and pets, and the structural Integrity of shelving where you choose to store this box. It is best kept on a ground level, such as underneath an entertainment center.

The cardboard is not that solid. Once the Cds are in it, it seems like the bottom is going to break. And one of the box arrived damaged.

Good quality with a sturdy structure. Not sure that the Button mechanism will hold up with time. Otherwise good value.

Cute box, nice colour, a little difficult assembling because the snaps would undo when I snapped the others but once all the snaps were done it was fine. Seems solid.
