I have severely underestimated the size of the sponges. They are really thick and very big. I am using it for my stock "top of the tank" filter, cut vertically in the middle and using one part of it, cut about 75% of its length. Rest 25% i use to scrub insides of the tank. These does not look like they are going to unusable within weeks. They are of good quality and probably more useful for heavy duty filters which accumulate a lot of dirt. Overall a good buy.

So far the best sponge filter I have seen and used. It just polishes the water so good that water is crystal clear in just 3-4 days. A must buy for fish lovers/aquariums. Cost effective too. Just try it once and you will forget about other sponges available on Amazon.

Go for it. Excellent sponge for aquarium filter. It traps the waste from the aquarium water. Washable and reusable.

This product was life saving. My fish tank was covered with bacterial bloom for almost a month but I have added this filterproduct in my internal filters and it cleared my water within 48 hours of use. You should definetly buy one of these if you are having trouble in filtration of tank.
