I wanted another hygiene bag that would last just as long and one that had several compartments to separate things for easier access. This bag has all of the above, large compartments to store bulky items like soap container, shaving cream, shampoo, and conditioner. It has smaller compartments that zip up to store items you may want to keep dry an what not. The fact you can unzip and hang it from a small hook on the inside is very convenient and you have access to anything in the bag without having to dig or feel for what you're looking for. Only one reason why I rated only 4 stars. The only complaint I have about anything is the zipper. Since the bag has a rounded edge, the bag must be held with both hands to manipulate the zipper in order to open it. This may sound stupid because you would obviously have to hold with both hands, but, the way you have to pull the corner taunt in order for the zipper to function smoothly is a design flaw that is some what irritating when you live out of your hygiene bag for 8 months. This is not a deal breaker for me, I would still purchase this again given the bag is pretty sturdy and a great value. I just might not use this on my next deployment since I have to deal with this minor flaw several times a day, every day, for several months at a time.
