It's light and breezy while also having a nice weight to the material [so it doesn't fly up in your face when it's windy]. As soon as it arrived, I washed it by hand in cold water with an eco-friendly soap (it did not release too much color), then line-dried it. My only reason for this four star review is because the color Green is significantly lighter than the photo suggests, and the Goddesses on the front of the shirt are facing downward. I decided not to return, because I actually like the odd print of it... Even though it's not exactly as advertised, I love this peasant top and would buy again in another color [if available]. When I reviewed the first one I purchased I had written I would buy more if they had it in my size, and they made it possible. I have gotten so many compliments on this tunic. Having reached that time in life when the middle roll shows up this product does it thing by hiding it and it presents this beautiful rayon print. The cut of this pattern is great for all figures, but those of us who do better with a tunic than a buttoned blouse this one is great. Instead of just a front and back there is a biased seam that gives extra fabric under both arms, it is done seamlessly. I now have 5 different ones the same size but different rayon material in the batik style.
