I've just seen this great deal of a projector for just $30k. One question, does this unit specifically improve Nicolas Cage's on-screen performance?

I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and the doctor said I had 6 months to live. I decided to take out a second mortgage on my house and buy this projector. After using it for a couple weeks, my last PET scan came back clear and the doctor said my anal cancer is in remission.

Is this the best projector money can buy at the moment? how does it compare to my optoma h37 1080hd?

Sony's 4K projectors are hands down the best. When I was at NAB you could see this projector in action and the uprez to 4k was amazing and the 4K native was mind blowing. If you want to experience the same type of projector you experience at the local theater but better for your own theater, this is definitely it.

Does anybody know a reputable company that can update the vplvw 1000es to the 1100 es for close to the original Sony warrantee price of $2500???? Help

As you may know Sony ended their upgrade program and I doubt if anyone could still do the $2500 upgrade. I believe Sony themselves can still do the upgrade but it will cost about $3000 with none of the original extras that had offered. I would call them and do it soon since they may only keep parts around for repairs of 1100 models. 2500,. But I just replaced mine at 1200 and there's a noticable difference.
