This book is a must for all fans.
Daughter is thrilled with the quality of this book. It is packed full of game information with superb high quality illustrations throughout. A must for all Pathfinder, D&D fans and gamers. 5* purchase. Side note **This book was purchased via Amazon Prime's pre-release book order. My daughter was incredibly disappointed with the length of time it took to receive this book. We ordered this book expecting it to be shipped to us on or very closely after the release day, however, it was a good two plus weeks after the release date when the book was finally delivered. We presumed there must have been a supply problem with obtaining the actual book but this was not the case as my daughters friends were able to purchaae this book directly off the shelf at various book stores without issue**

Great upgrade
Amazing quality and artwork weโve come to enjoy with Pathfinder. As an original Pathfinder player me and my group loved its changes to D&D. This now brings it right upto date and looks to win back some of those who went back to 5e. Well run community with so many adventures and content to help players and DMโs alike.

A quality product
An incredibly well laid out book, with all the information you'll need to play. The 3 action round makes combat fun and easy, and a lot more interesting than 5e.

Once more unto the breach....
We will be starting a P2e game in the new year having played Pathfinder 1 and all D&D versions up to 3.5 (and many others over the years). This is a new twist on the game and we are looking forward to it. The Core rulebook does cover just about everything - and its weight reflects that - this is not a small book. Initial reads have been promising, its biggest issue so far is that it feels like there is a really simple game system involved, its just obscured by mountains of information

Does what it says on the tin
The book itself is well printed with nice artwork and does what it says on the tin. It was a lot fatter than I imagined it would be to be honest (itโs about double the size of the DnD Players Handbook) which makes it a pretty cool looking tome. The one thing that was disappointing was that the first book that was sent to me came with a bunch of pages at the front bent over so it left white lines along the folds and damage to the art and writing on the pages. I had to send it back.

Great update - but get the new version: Pathfinder 2e Player Core 1
Have been really enjoying PF2E after a long period of 5e D&D gaming. We had a great time with the 1st Ed of Pathfinder way back from 2009-2015. This new Ed is less complex than 1e yet has a lot more player choice over pc design than 5e & lots of options in combat. Do get the new Player Core 1 though. It's like 2.1e - updates, errata, plus totally delinked from WotC OGL guaranteeing Paizo their creative rights & cancelling any threat Wizards posed.

600+ pages of awesomeness
Like the book so far - lots of content, including some lore on Golarion setting, quite easy to reference thanks to the chapter list on the side. The book is quite big, but that's fine by me as I don't intend to carry it around much, the electronic versions are better suited for portability anyway.

Nice.
Very enjoyable. For some reason, I find Pathfinder much more 'grown-up' in its feel than D&D 5e, although I enjoy both. Nicely presented, this edition is smoother where it needed to be, but crunchier mechanics than the competition give it a nice feel.

Lo mejor de Pathfinder 1 y D&D 5E
La nueva ediciรณn de Pathfinder consigue mantener una enorme cantidad de opciones para personajes (En algunos casos aรบn mรกs que los libros base de Pathfinder 1 en su inicio) sin embargo optimizando bastante a la hora de correr una mesa como GM. El juego se centra en las opciones o Feats pero lo hace de una manera mucho mas transparente al usar un sistema de etiquetas para simplificar las propiedades de cada caracterรญstica o Feat en donde se incluyen requerimientos previos (Los cuales han disminuido dramรกticamente comparado con Pathfinder 1 ya que ahora se establecen requerimientos de nivel de personaje para ciertos Feats en vez de una larga cadena de feats previos en donde no habรญa siempre una relaciรณn directa o coherente, esto queda minimizado). Del lado del Master es en donde se observan cambios profundos: toda la economรญa de acciones desecha el sistema previo de tipos de acciones y simplifica todo a tener 3 acciones por turno con cada jugador. Todas las acciones, movimiento, habilidades y hechizos del juego consumen una determinada cantidad de acciones por turno (De 1 acciรณn, 2 acciones o 3 acciones) y cada personaje administra todo su turno conforme a estas acciones: Movimiento, ataque, castear hechizos, activar poderes, ayudar a otros. Incluso se simplifican acciones mรกs complicadas como recordar informaciรณn o buscar/detectar enemigos ya dentro de combate como acciones opcionales que se pueden tomar dentro de las 3 que se tienen. Este concepto es simple de entender pero con suficiente complejidad una vez que se analizan las habilidades de cada jugador en donde se tienen hechizos como Haste para ganar una acciรณn mas por turno, ataques mรบltiples en donde se tiene una penalidad despuรฉs del primer ataque (-5 para el segundo y -10 para el tercero y consecuentes) y varias condiciones en donde se pueden afectar la cantidad de acciones por turno. El otro gran cambio es el sistema de proficiencias en donde se simplifican a 5: Sin entrenar, Entrenado (2+ Nivel de personaje), Experto (4+Nivel), Maestro (6+Nivel) y Legendario (8+Nivel). Este bono de proficiencia se aplica directamente a casi todos los aspectos de personaje: Tiradas de salvaciรณn (Cada clase gradualmente provee entrenamiento en estas tiradas) tiradas de ataque, Armadura (10 + Armadura + Bono Destreza + Bono proficiencia) asรญ como todas las tiradas de habilidades como Atletismo, Sigilo, Socializar, etc. Si bien a veces los nรบmeros estรกn aparentemente muy inflados (Personajes de nivel 16 tendrรญan aprox 38-40 de AC y enemigos de ese nivel aproximadamente ese nivel tambiรฉn) tiene un propรณsito especรญfico que es el sistema de รฉxitos o fracasos: Al alcanzar el AC de un enemigo se consigue un golpe pero ahora un golpe crรญtico tambiรฉn puede consistir en lograr no solo un 20 en la tirada si no superar el AC por 10 ( 46 en total vs un enemigo de 36 AC = golpe crรญtico). Lo contrario tambiรฉn aplica: un fallo crรญtico aplica cuando se falla la dificultad de la tirada de salvaciรณn por 10 o menos del DC (DC 35 y el jugador obtiene 25 o menos en total) en donde se aplican efectos adicionales. Este sistema hace que de nueva cuenta el sistema sea fรกcil de comprender en primera instancia pero en donde al empezar a utilizar las habilidades de los personajes para conseguir mas bonificaciones a las tiradas, utilizar circunstancias a su favor y evitar las poco ventajosas, etc. Cambia la dinรกmica de los encuentros al activar efectos adicionales en casi todas las habilidades y hechizos. Hay muchos otros cambios pero con estos principales se obtiene una buena imagen del juego: muchas opciones de jugador y un sistema muy fรกcil de comprender pero con bastante complejidad para quien quiera adentrarse mรกs afondo y poco a poco ir mejorando. Muy ampliamente recomendado principalmente para jugadores de D&D 5ta ediciรณn que buscan algo mรกs elaborado pero sin perder la manera mas dinรกmica de llevar los encuentros y partidas. Los veteranos de Pathfinder 1ra ediciรณn probablemente tomen un poco mรกs de tiempo en acostumbrarse ya que no es fรกcil dejar detrรกs una ediciรณn con 10 aรฑos de libros detrรกs (Casi 20 si se considera desde D&D 3.0) pero una vez que decidan dar una leรญda o probar en alguna de sus mesas sin duda podrรกn ver que siguen teniendo muchas de las mismas opciones y habilidad para crear personajes altamente complejos pero con un juego mejor diseรฑado para ampliarse y expandirse sin romperse al aรฑadir mรกs opciones con el paso de los libros adicionales. Ampliamente recomendado.

Quality through and through
From cover to cover this book is excellently produced. Art, material quality and game concept coverage. Paizo has done an excellent job of producing this book and I'm more than happy to recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing a fantasy game in the TTRPG arena.

Perfect book
It's a little dated due to the remaster, however it is still a phenomenal purchase. Highly recommend.

Don't buy this if you want the remaster!
NOT THE REMASTERED VERSION!! If you want the new remaster (ORC Licensed) you should get the Player Core and GM Core. But this is still 99% Like the remaster except the Allignments (Good/Neutral/Evil) and other nuances like flat footed = off guard.
