good primer for attorneys
I'm an attorney that knows contracts and was looking to learn about software contracts. This book is a great primer with generous examples and credible explanations. I think it's useful for non-attorneys, but who am I to say?

If you already have one of those fat ABA treatises on this subject, you don't need this one
This is a very short, cheap, informally written book. Sized like a short novel. If you are looking for a real concrete treatise on this subject with more detailed explanations, expect to pay over $100 for one of those fat books published by the ABA. If you already have one of those fat ABA treatises on this subject, you don't need this one at all.

Good one for beginners.
David Tollen should consider bringing out a comprehensive edition of the same.

Detailed enough
Good primer, good reference. Once you have a few contract negotiations under your belt you may not pick this up too often but it will really help you get there.
