This book is spot on and reflects my exact entrepreneurial life journey.
The title of this book captured my attention as a lifelong serial entrepreneur. I've been a Founder, Farmer, Tinker and Thief. If there was room on the cover of this book to add a word, I might add Giver. The book does an excellent job of not only explaining each stage but how to successfully navigate through each step. I'd add giver because I think entrepreneurs who finally run out of energy and decide to relax start to give back. The book acknowledges this stage, but I'd add the word. I loved this book. Obviously written by someone who's been there.

I've read all of Chris Cooper's books. I absolutely love this one. It helps give the perspective that I need to mode through the stages as a business owner. My biggest fear is being stuck in the stage he refers to as the Farmer. This is a book that I will look to repeatedly to help understand how to navigate to keep moving towards my end goal or as he states it...my perfect day!

More than I expected
Not just for the gym owner but any business owner or, like me, an aspiring business owner. The final chapter was my favorite. Full of hopes, dreams and a path to self-actualization.

Chris is inspiration from real world
Best thing about this book for me is that Chris is doing what he is teaching. Starting from the bottom, he built successfull business(gym) then moved to help others. Every owner of small service business can find himself in one of four stages. I think that best for future success is to start from founder and experience each stage and build up through years.
