I don't remember what brand tire I had on there before (I think it was a Bridgestone Battleax). Regardless, this tire was a little slow to turn in at first. I'm not sure if I adjusted to it, or the tire just needed a break in period. I've put about 500 miles on it so far and it's doing really good. It grips well and is predictable. I'll update this review as I use the tire to see how the tread wears over the miles.EDIT: I'm about 1200 miles in, and no unusual wear. The ride and handling has improved since it was first installed. It makes the bike handle better in wet weather, and it grips very well in other conditions, too. It looks beefy enough to last a long time.
