She releases a curse that calls evil Princess Ivy, who wants to destroy the amulet, take the crown, and turn everything black and white. Rapunzel is a guest. They all go on a quest to defeat Ivy. This DVD shows how love, trust and pitting others' needs first works magic. Great for the preschool age girl.

Movie as expected. Butterfly necklace was added bonus.
I think the necklace that came with it, got more attention than the movie. But it's your basic Sofia movie, which is pretty good. I prefer this to other Disney fair that sucks my daughters attention right up. Expect Sofia the fIrst level of quality.

Since we cancelled cable, no more Disney Jr., so I love that her favorite shows are on DVD now since only some of them are on Netflix.

I love this special of Sofia the first, where Amber get's to be part of Sofia magical adventures, and we might see more of Sofia the first thanks to the petition of another season, plus the petition for a live action movie of Elena of Avalor with Sofia in it

The version Amazon had for ages was for other countries. I can confirm that they are now selling the Region 2 UK version! This is quite a good dvd. My kids have been watching this every day since we've bought it. The princess ivy episode is a double length one, which is why there are only 4 episodes in total instead of 5. It's quite exciting (the first couple of times you watch it!), and in my opinion, not scary at all. Jam packed with songs, and a visit from Rapunzel (with original voice actor Mandy Moore). The other 3 episodes are : Princess butterfly (Ambers costume turns her butterfly wings into real ones) The emerald key (Princess Leylani loses her key which is the only way to get home. She has to fight an imposter to get it back) The amulet of avalor (A baby griffin steals the amulet so Sofia can't talk to animals any more) Make sure when buying this DVD that you check it says region 2 on it. Enjoy!
