The reason I like this pencil is that the tip retracts back into the body. The worst thing that can happen to a mechanical pencil is to have the tip get bent so the lend can’t come out. The retracting safeguards against that.

Nice pencil for everyday use.

The quality of the leads from this and other brand name marketers has been above expectation. The slight cost difference over the many months of writing which I'll do to use up a pack is miniscule.

The lead that came with the pencil never broke. There were 4-5 in there and used them without any of them breaking at all. Now I use these and it just breaks with the littlest of pressure.

Le mine sono di ottima qualità, morbide, non si spezzano facilmente. Rotring è infatti un marchio noto. Le uso sia per scrivere che per fare schizzi quando disegno. Ho sempre odiato usare le HB, troppo chiare sia per scrivere che per disegnare, troppa poca variazione nei toni. Queste mine sono ottime per scrivere sui libri di scuola: il fatto che sono morbide aiuta perché non affatica la mano, lasciano un tratto più scuro e siccome non bisogna calcare per ottenere un tratto scuro, si possono cancellare meglio. Ottime anche per il disegno tecnico, sempre per via del fatto che si possono ottenere toni intermedi, da quelli più scuri a quelli più chiari. E anche qui, per via del fatto che non si ha bisogno di calcare per ottenere il tratto scuro si possono cancellare eventuali errori senza lasciare il segno sul foglio. Buone anche per il disegno artistico, per sketches e quant'altro. La differenza in termini di scurezza che si può ottenere è abbastanza riconoscibile anche ad un occhio non esperto (guardare le foto). Ho fatto un confronto con delle mine faber-castell classiche, HB. Partendo da sinistra e calcando poco, fino ad arrivare a destra e premendo forte la matita sul foglio. Nel caso della 2B per ottenere la massima scurezza non ho avuto bisogno di calcare forte per ottenere il tono più scuro: la mina è morbida e lascia molta più grafite sul foglio senza bisogno di premere.
