Removing the plugs allows access to a 2mm hex screw that are used for realigning the laser should it be inaccurate. There is a third hole and screw beneath the label, but it didn't appear to have any effect on laser alignment. I was able to align mine from being 1.25 inches off at a distance of 3 feet, to dead on, with just the two screws. **Q: How is it compared to the Orion laserMate collimator? That is more than double in price than this.** A: I checked mine in a "V" block and it checks as in very good alignment. Another check that anyone can do with a solidly built Newtonian with a solidly mounted focuser is to install the collimator in the eyepiece holder and tighten the retention screw just enough so no wobble noted but the collimator can be rotated in the focuser. Turn it on and rotate it while watching the laser dot on the primary mirror. Keep any side force on the collimator in the same direction while rotating it. The dot should not move when the collimator is rotated if the collimator itself is properly collimated. I have seen even a expensive collimator be improperly adjusted from the factory but my Svbony is well adjusted. **Q: Does it have collimation screws so as to get the laser aligned or is it fixed?** A: OF COURSE the laser beam is NOT fixed, it is alignable in this collimator. The manufacturer said "User adjustable collimator: Three collimation screws on the body so as to get the laser aligned". This is such a great tool and a must for any reflector or compound telescope. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Tool to keep your reflector in Tune *by C***7 on May 16, 2023* I have had telescopes for years and always used a home made Cheshire Eyepiece for initial collimation and then an out of focus star to "tweak" that last tiny adjustments. When I saw the price of this laser collimation tool I decided to give it a try after reading a few reviews. The one I received was spot on collimated and required no fiddling with correcting the aim of the thing. It worked as expected and the variable brightness of the laser was a useful feature. As far as the "Collimate in Minutes" goes, yes, you can complete the process if your scope is not too far out of adjustment, but if you have had the mirrors out and replaced them it will take a little longer time. A center dot on the primary mirror is needed and easy to do. Several YouTube videos on adding the dot and using this Collimator. The only issue I have with it is the switch is sketchy. As you turn it the laser will come on at the brightness I desire but then it goes off. If I wiggle the switch it will come back on and stay on. I thought I may return it as defective but since it was shipped collimated correctly I do not want to take a chance of exchanging it for another one. I will just wiggle the switch.
