It's mainly useful to indicate it's low on power and time to recharge.Cons:Requires pushing a button to start power (in initial use, you may forget about that and find your device wasn't rechargingAfter normal 1 year use, the power button sank & dislodged, but appears still functional.The quality of power cells is suspect with all non-OEM batteries. Technically, Lithium batteries should last many discharge/charge cycles. According to one report, if you allow only a 25% discharge before recharging, the # of cycles can be over 2,000.
