This thing is so big that you won't need a towel or extra dish draining mat to the side for large items. It could be improved if it had a way to make it drain into the sink instead of relying on evaporation of the standing water. The gray color is true neutral gray to fit with most any colors. I have a very large dish rack that has TEN spaces for glasses or mason jars around the outside and even with that full there is plenty of space on the side for large baking bowls, pots, & pans. To clean it i just wipe with a dish rag and if it got really dirty it's very flexible and easy to maneuver even in my very small sink. Love it. Worth every penny.

Moving over from a fabric drying pad, I'm not sure I like these silicone mats more than what I had before. I'll do the dishes the night before, wake up, and there is still plenty of water lying around in the tray. However, it is a quality product, cleans easily, and looks great. If I had to buy another mat like this it'd certainly be this one.

Storage is a breeze! Cleaning is a breeze! Performance is awesome! Versatility, WOW! I use these for my drain board underneath the drying rack. You know those things in life that make you oddly happy, well this is one of those things for me. If you have gone years cleaning one of the old drain boards you will love this thing. One because they can be easily stored in a reasonable amount of space so you can always have a clean one on hand. Two you can toss this in your laundry to be sanitized in the hot load and then dry it on high heat (there is a reason hospital, rest homes, and hotels do not use cold water for linens and use high heat to dry linens). Also no more worrying about needing a place to set a scalding pot when draining pasta, etc at the sink. The only drawback will be if you have people that are sloppy with water, the water will gradually get under the mat. You also have to ensure the counter is 100% dry before putting the clean mat down. To me the minor drawbacks are well worth not having one of those nasty old drain boards that are a total hassle to clean. You also do not have to listen to friends' wise cracks about how it looks like your grandma gave you the dish board and you must feel obligated to use it. If you are showing a house while living in it you can pick the whole thing up and hide it under the sink or wherever for those last minute showing notices. Definitely great to save cleaning up at the BBQer too. Nothing to worry about melting and no glass to worry about falling and breaking.

I use this silicone mat for drying dishes. It is a replacement for a hard plastic two piece mat (mat with a separate grid on top) that I have had for several years. This mat is larger and fits the area next to the sink better than the old one. We have a lot of minerals in our water here in Texas, so although the water beads up on the mat, as soon as the dishes are dry, I dry the mat as well. The flexible mat makes it easy to drain the excess water into the sink, and then dry it with a towel. It is very durable, and the raised areas work like a grid to allow air under the draining dish or glassware.

My foam drying mat started smelling and I needed a replacement. I stumbled across this mat during my search and I couldn’t be happier! It's the perfect size for drying a sink full of dishes, while also rolling up to a decent size for storage. Similar to other reviews I have noticed that the mat collects a bit of water, unlike foam mats. However, that's easily solved with a quick shake over the sink or with a paper towel. I did not notice any strange smells and prime delivery was fast per usual. I'm glad I came across this mat while looking to replace my foam drying mat!
