Order when they're on prime!
I ordered these blades on April 26 and they arrived on May 16 direct from China. A couple days after I ordered, they became available on prime one-day shipping. Since they had already shipped, I couldn't cancel the order and reorder a prime set. It was very annoying. Hopefully you can profit from my experience.That said, this seems like a good product. My previous blades had been sharpened by the previous owner. They were ground unevenly and not straight. It was $35 from my local place to sharpen them or $30 for this new set. I got the new set first, and will now take the old ones in for sharpening.These are delivered fairly sharp. They're not arm-shaving sharp, but I don't think planer knives are supposed to be that level of sharpness. HSS is HSS, so I expect they'll be about as durable as HSS planer blades. They leave a lovely finish on the wood and were as easy to install as you'd expect the blades on a Belsaw planer to be.When installing, make sure your slots are clean and clear and your jack screws are flat on top. I had a jack screw with a little sliver sticking up that was causing me not to be able to turn it, and a slot that had a little gouge in it that made a flake hang off and not allow the blade to seat evenly.

These plainer blades work great in my belsaw 5 hp thickness plainer.They are made of quality metal. I have been using them for a couple months and they seem to perform at least as well as the original Sears blades.I get around 3-4 hours of planing with these and my other brands of blades when planing bur oak and other dense hardwoods before I start getting tareout on the figure int the boards.

Arrived razor sharp in good packaging without need for honing. Bought for an old Rockwell/Delta 6" jointer functional restoration and they work better than expected. Will buy again as needed.
