I mix the conditioner and keratin together and shake until it's all combined. I rub it into my dry hair, cover with a plastic store bag, and watch and episode of Downton. Then I wash my hair really well. You want to make sure you get out what doesn't soak in. Your hair does feel kind of yarn-ey, but that's ok. Then I blow my hair dry and hot iron it in small sections. That will seal the keratin into the hair. Then don't wash it or get it wet for 24+ hours. You can run an iron over it again. It gives me beautiful, shiny hair. I love it. I use it once every month or two, whenever I feel my hair is getting dull. **Q: Can this be mixed with pure essential oils and a carrier oil? Or would the Keratin be considered the carrier oil?** A: Keratin is called an oil often, but it's actually water soluble. Essential oils may go into it, but if you mix it with a carrier oil, you would need an emulsifier such as polysorbate to hold together the emulsion. I hope this helps!
