I finally called customer service, and after being placed on a hold a few times, they determined it was defective. As a result, my installer came back and tried to troubleshoot again before finally installing a new thermostat. I installed sensors in four rooms outside the room with the thermostat (living room), and I can easily check the temps for each room using the app, which is also very easy to setup. They are for use with the Honeywell T9 thermostat, very simple to place, pair, and name. They use 2 AAA batteries and are supposed to last one year minimum. Just follow the easy-to-follow prompts on the T9 setup display, pair only one sensor at a time, and they work accurately. They can be set for either time or motion activation. The only thing I question is the double-sided tape wall mounting...I had one fall from the wall, 5' onto the tile floor, 20 min after placing it on a just-cleaned wall. I'd rather use a flat-headed screw for security.
