How do you shift this into reverse?

this motor runs one direction when set up. You need to pick either clockwise or counterclockwise. you can change the direction on the motor control but it is diffcult to get to. If you need to reverse your stitching on a regular basis you may want a machine that has reverse built into the mechanical drive system.

Will it work on juki 5550n7 with sc 1

This set up will work on any industry sewing machine. The one I was sent did not work properly. It was stuck on high speed.! Had to by another one. 3/4 consew now that is beast on my juki1508

Is it noiseless when turned on? is it compatible to juki ddl 8700?

it is quite when not in use and almost silent when running
