The laws have made the company change this product bc they thought it was harmful to people. Funny to me when I was a kid, this was around for scrapes & cuts. It always helped our boo boos heal quickly. Didnt cause any harm to kids way back when. Just my opinion. JM. I dont know where it was made tho, just that it was a plentiful item back in the 40s & 50s. **Q: Does this contain mercury?** A: No, this does not contain mercury. **Q: does this have red dye in it?** A: It's colored light red...not sure if it's dye or the chemical. **Q: Does it have an expiration date?** A: Yes.
