Purr-fect for our purr-poses!
Greatly appreciate the digital display, large size of the standing area for the cat, and the ease of storage. As my cat ages, keeping track of his weight is very important. We use this scale weekly and it is much easier to encourage him to step on to a scale like this one, where the platform is large and low to the ground. He does not fuss as he sometimes does at the vet and I feel more confident that he is eating enough week to week when I can more closely track his weight.

Works/ Easy/ Great for pets
I purchased this to use with small dogs and cats. it lightweight, doesn't take up much space, and you can just put it on the floor and have your pet walk on it. I can't speak for the accuracy, but I am sure it's fine. All I care about is that it is accurate to itself so I can monitor the weight of my older pets that have some health issues. The best part is the flat bottom. Many of the other units have more of a cradled bottom because they are also made for babies. I don't see how a 20lb dog was going to stand on a slippery concave surface. This is great because you can get a more accurate weight since they can stand on it, without wiggling for balance.

I love this
I love this scale. We use it at my job (cat cafe) and I have my own cat and foster occasionally so I finally just bought one. It's thin so it's easy to store and very easy to use. It gives a pretty accurate read out, might differ slightly if you weigh multiple times but most scales do that. It can measure kilograms and pounds and the LED light up is nice for visibility. Sometimes the cats at work just like to sit on it so can double as a cat bed if you have a weird cat.

Pretty Easy and Accurate
This scale is pretty accurate. I weighed a 5 lb weight and it read 5.02 lbs so it is over a bit. Not sure how to recalibrate but I just take that into consideration for my cats' weight readings. I keep this scale out in my kitchen and the cats will walk right onto it, especially when I give a treat. Sometimes they get on it before I've even had a chance to turn it on! So it's definitely easy to use and easy for the cats to get on without fear. The feet of the scale don't keep it in place though, so it does move about some, so just be cautious there, sometimes that movement can scare the cats, the scraping sound. When the cats get on it, they themselves move about some, so the reading can be off by a few ounces. If they're on it and I want it to give another reading, I just push down on it while the cat is still on it, and it starts the reading over, and usually gives a similar reading. It's pretty accurate, a lot of my cats read the same weight every time I use it, like 12.50 lbs, 12.48 lbs, etc. So potentially only off by a few ounces, which I think is reasonable, plus their weights will fluctuate just like ours throughout each day so it's hard to tell if it's actually off. As long as it's not over half an ounce or a lb wrong, which would indicate the scale or the cat has an issue. I would recommend this scale, it gives peace of mind being able to weigh my cats easily each day, especially when the unexpected illness, without fail, comes up and you want to keep an eye on their weight and health. This is a good asset to have on hand. It is very lightweight as well, easy to move or slide around where you want it. And the one button on/off/tare is a breeze, I use my toe to turn it on, lol.

Two months later it won't even turn on
The scale worked fine initially (two months ago, when it arrived) and a couple of times after that. I had problems turning it on today, before and after testing and replacing the batteries just to be on the safe side. The screen came on for a few seconds and then went dark, never to be seen again. I needed the scale to weigh my cat and am very disappointed.

Excellent design. Non-threatening to my cat.
Great choice for monitoring my cat's weight during her lengthy recovery. Sits low to the table and is large enough for adult cat to lay down.

works well
I used this product to weigh my two cats. What I noticed is if it not completely flat it can be off. For example a tiny piece of a treat got caught under one of the four legs (or sensors? not sure what to call them) and added 2 .5 lbs to the weight. I noticed because the weight was shown before either cat was on it. However if you account for this, the scale is very accurate. You just need to be sure it is reading 0.00 before your pet hops on or just account for whatever extra weight has been added. Even with this issue, it is very steady and it was even able to quickly read my skittish cat before he ran off. The reading is in seconds. It does require 4 double A batteries that were not included. However the batteries were easy to install and it was ready to use immediately after placing the batteries. The scale can either give you lbs or kg for a reading. Overall, I am happy with it.

Great Scale for Pets
This scale is great. I use it for my 11.5lb cats and 4.5-5lb small dog. The surface is nice and flat and large, so it’s easy to get them to sit or lay to get weighed. There is enough room to get them to fit fully on the surface without their feet or their body hanging off. All of my pets cooperate well to get weighed, and my cats seem to enjoy laying on the scale after being weighed. It seems accurate as the weight at home is approximately the same as when weighed at the vet. Very satisfied with this scale and would repurchase if I needed one again.

Sometimes pets need to have their weight monitored, especially if they are getting older or have a health issue. This scale is being used to monitor our older dog’s weight. Here’s my candid review, as well as a couple of tips for getting more consistent results with it. Its a longer review, but hope you find it helpful. I was originally hesitant to order this scale because it’s a more expensive item, so I read a lot of the reviews before I bought it. In summary, this scale is easy to use, seems pretty accurate (I’ve compared its results to our vet’s), and our dog can easily get on it in order to quickly check her weight. As a matter of fact, she’s actually thrilled to see it come out, and hops right on and sits down when I ask her to “get on”! I’ve only had it for a couple of months, yet it’s now part of our regular dog health care maintenance regime. Highly recommended, especially if you have a puppy, (or as previously mentioned) a pet with health issues, or one that is getting older. It can really help you see how their weight is trending (and take action, if necessary) before the issue gets harder to deal with. Is it accurate? So far it seems reasonably accurate (within approx. 20-25 grams for a 6.5 kg pet, which is a fairly small difference). It’s not perfect though, and Yes, there may be some variance from your vet’s weight scale. However, I have been told by various vet offices that they realize that there may be slight variances between scales located at different clinics, too. (For example, your pet’s regular vet may tell you that your pet weighs 12 lbs., but another specialist vet may tell you they weigh 12.2 lbs.) Pro tip: The key to using this scale is consistency. In order to get more accurate and comparable results, put this scale on the same surface, in the same location, every time. In addition, make certain that the surface you put it on is flat and level. For example, if you use it on the floor, consistently put it on the same location. In addition, try to put your pet in the same location on the scale every time, and in the same position (for instance, I have our small dog sit always sit in the centre of the scale, but you might want yours to lie down.) That way, even if the results vary a bit from your vet’s, they’ll be more consistent. You’ll also be better equipped to spot any important trends, either up or down. In closing,, though so far the scale has been reasonably reliable, I’ll update this review if anything changes so you know, too. Please let me know if this review has been helpful to you! Thanks!

I have a cat boarding business and needed a portable scale. This one fit the bill perfectly and I love it. It is light weight and sturdy. I can move it around easily and it has a nice steady, large platform that the cat can stand or lay on. It takes the weight quickly and locks it in so the cat doesn't have to be on it long. Love the thin design which allows for easy storage. Highly recommend for kennels and veterinarians.

This scale works perfectly for our 7.4kg/16 lbs cat, who is on a diet and we need to monitor her weight. It sturdy and accurate (verified against the vet scale). Perfect for large cats/small dogs and I guess younger babies?

I bought this pet scale to monitor my senior cat’s weight after radioactive iodine (I-131) treatment for hyperthyroidism. He is 16 years old, has early CKD, and an accurate weight is critical for his health. This scale turned out to be wildly inaccurate and almost caused a serious problem: At home, this scale showed my cat dropping from around 6.24 kg to 5.5 kg over about a week. That kind of rapid weight loss in a hyperthyroid, CKD cat is an emergency, so I followed the vet’s general advice to increase his food so he wouldn’t “waste away.” I increased his intake carefully but significantly over several days, believing he was losing weight dangerously fast. Because the numbers kept dropping, I took him to the vet (on Boxing Day!), terrified that something was very wrong. At the clinic, they weighed him on a calibrated veterinary scale: He was actually 6.6 kg. In other words, this pet scale at home was off by over 1 kg and had been consistently giving me inaccurate readings, enough to make it look like my cat was rapidly wasting away when he actually was not. I was extremely stressed and worried for days for no reason (yes, during Christmas) . I overfed him (because I thought he was dropping weight too fast), and he ended up with GI upset/colitis and bloody stool, which then required another vet visit and treatment. More vet bills, a car trip he hates, and a lot of unnecessary discomfort for my cat — all because this scale could not do the one job it was supposed to do: measure weight accurately. For a healthy animal, an inaccurate scale is annoying. For a sick senior cat whose treatment depends on careful weight monitoring, this kind of inaccuracy is dangerous. I strongly do NOT recommend this product for anyone who: - has an older pet - is monitoring a medical condition (hyperthyroidism, CKD, weight loss, etc.) - needs reliable weight data to make health decisions This scale is not just a bit off. In my case, it was so wrong that it directly led to overfeeding and GI inflammation because I was trying to save my cat from a weight loss that wasn’t even real. If you need a scale for medical or health monitoring, please choose another product and double-check any new scale against a vet’s scale or a known weight. I wish I had never trusted this one.
