Great stuff, already bought more.
While I have used beard oil on and off for the past year or so, I was becoming unhappy with the state of my beard. It was a bit too wiry, lots of flyaway and just generally not in the shape that I wanted it to be.I don't recall how I ran across this product, but after reading the reviews and seeing that it wasn't that expensive compared to the oils I have been using, I figured I would give it a try. I am glad I did, and less than a week later, I ordered another jar because I don't want to run out and have to do without it. I really like it that much. You dig a bit out with your fingernail, rub it between your fingers until the particles melt, apply to your beard and you're all set. The scent really works for me as well. I have always been fond of the fresh/rain type scents and it is very reminiscent of that to me.It has made my beard considerably softer, it behaves a lot better and overall, it makes my beard feel much healthier and "friendlier" to touch. It performs better than I had originally hoped. To the manufacturer: Please, don't mess this up and change anything about this product. In my opinion, it's perfect as it is.

What are these white balls/dots that are all over my beard?
Strange hard white tiny balls inside that show up all over your beard and even fall out to your shirt. This stuff is odd. It is super soft, unlike wax. It is white with not much of a smell at all. It is VERY oily feeling but when you scoop some out you will feel tiny hard balls that are part of the ingredients and these do not dissolve or go away. They sit in your beard. I put this balm in and I was asked "what are all of those white things in your beard, and on your shirt"? I look down and see white dots all over my black T shirt and in my beard.Ugg.The smell is weak, the stuff is super greasy and oily feeling and the white dots/balls or whatever they are are horrible.UPDATE: After this review went live I received an email from the company explaining a few things. 1st they told me this is in no way a wax or meant to replace a wax. It is a conditioner only. While they say it will style and tame a beard, what they really mean is it will often it and condition it. I was told the gritty white balls needed to be rubbed between my hands 1st to dissolve them. I tried this and it took 40 seconds of rubbing before 90% of them were dissolved, which made the balm even more greasy. I applied it on day #2 and this time it was much better. Added a shine and managed the beard nicely. No balls this time. As for the smell, I really can not smell it at all and neither can my wife or friends. When I pass around the jar one friends said "I can smell something but its very slight". So for me, there is no smell. Not good, not bad. Almost no scent. To those saying it has a scent, I must have gotten a weird batch with white balls and no smell.IN any case I will keep using it until my jar is empty and if I like it I will re-purchase. I do like it much better after I was informed about the grit/balls. I think they should spell this out in the instructions..unless, as I said, I got a bad batch. My review went from 2 stars to 4.

Very nice balm.
What can I say I was little skeptical at first but once the beard balm arrived all that changed. I let me start off by saying the quality of the beard balm is absolutely perfect. It has a very nice smooth texture. Once you have the beard balm in your hands it is very easy to work with. It has a very nice lite fragrance scent. The best thing about also it is not like the other beard balms where you get just a small amount not at all It is in a very large jar. I just want to say thanks for the super nice beard balm. I would recommend the company and product to anybody.Pros Easy to Use, high quality and works greatCons: none I've found so farI received this product at a discount or free in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed her are unbiased and 100% my own. I review products based on my personal experiences and leave reviews reflecting those experiences.

I really wanted to like this balm as it has great reviews
I really wanted to like this balm as it has great reviews; however, living in Denver and having such a dry climate, beard balms have to be exceptional to keep a nice conditioned beard. This product is pretty good in comparison to others I've tried but doesn't last long enough for me. It does have a great smell, very clean and will keep your beard nice and soft for a while but I found myself wandering back to a heavier duty beard balm which I use most of the time. I give it 3 stars, if they made a heavier duty version I would maybe up this to 4 or 5. Please don't consider this a bad review, it is a great product, I just prefer another balm.

Great balm, not waxy; Pairs well with cologne
I'm a beard enthusiast. I've been on a mission to try out and find my favorite beard balm to use with my OriginalBlack Boar Beard Brush and EQLEF Sandalwood Beard Comb. Though I really liked Honest Amish Beard Balm I would only recommend it to someone looking for a woodsy outdoorsy scent. This is why, so far, my favorite beard balm of the 10 or so I've tried is Mr. Rugged. The scent is clean and pairs well with pretty much any cologne. The texture is soft and oily, as a balm should be. It's not hard and waxy, it's not even as stiff as Bag Balm (the ultimate skin moisturizer), I'd say it's just a little more firm than Vaseline. This makes it easy to apply and not get stuck in the Black Boar Bristle Beard Brush.I'm still on a mission to try out all the beard balms, but if I run out and need to reorder in a flash, or if someone asks what I'd recommend, I'm sticking with Mr. Rugged.

It does wash out with some good pine-tar soap
Contrary to what everyone else who has reviewed this product has said, this stuff stinks! It's an unpleasant combination that (to me) has notes of sandlewood, baby powder and some flowery scent that I can not identify. Not something I want in my beard. The stench never seems to dissipate either. I struggled through a few hours thinking it would eventually go away. Nope. It does wash out with some good pine-tar soap, but that's about all I can say good about it. I don't know if it does anything for my beard as I was too focused on getting the stench out.
