Great small size letters with sharp detail
These cutters are easy to use and look fantastic. The letters are small but sharp and detailed which is hard to find in letter cutters. The trick is to roll your fondant out thin ( I use a 5 on my pasta roller) and let soft fondant dry up a little before cutting. Smear a little shortening on the cutters and you will get great looking letters.

A must-have for cake artists!
These cutouts are fantastic! They're a nice size for gum paste lettering on cakes & especially to adorn gum paste blocks or other decorations. Just follow the directions - roll gum paste paper thin & use corn starch to avoid sticking issues. A little tap & voila! perfect letters. Very easy. Worth every penny.

Beautiful Letters
These letters are beautiful. It is a bit hard to work with them at first, and i couldn't do it according to the instructions, but i figured out a different way that worked for me and after a bit of practice it works quite nicely. I am very pleased. I also have the little Wilton cutters which are horrible to work with and not nearly as attractive as these. if you work with fondant or gum paste i highly recommend these letters. The reason I gave only 4 stars and not 5 is that it is somewhat difficult to use - but as I said before, I am very happy to have them.

Love these letters!
I decorate cakes professionally and I needed letter cutters that were simple and not scroll/italic. I have used these multiple times since I received them. I do not have a problem with them and find them easy to use. If you haven not used Tappit style letters, then here are a few tips that you have to know before using them: 1. The fondant/gum paste has to be VERY thin. So think that you should be able to see the words of a printed page through the fondant when the fondant is placed on top of the page. Trust me, I was skeptical, but this is very important. 2. The letter cutters are connected on a plastic strip. To use, cut strips of fondant approximately the width of the letters. The fondant strip should be placed vertically and the letter cutter will be perpendicular to the fondant. Press down on the cutter. I slide the cutter back and forth to be sure I have a good cut. 3. Tap the end of the cutter on the table to release the letter from the cutter. This really works. 4. Let the letters dry for a few minutes before trying to place them on the cake. They will be easier to handle and you won't have to worry about the letters changing shapes. These are a great size and I love working with them!

FMM Upper Case Block Alphabet & Number Tappit Cutters Set
So happy I found the Alphabet cutters! They make your writting look so professional. I spread the fondant thin and cut 2-3 strips, let sit uncovered for a about 15 minutes, spray a little Pam non stick spray on the letters I'm going to use, tap the strips to remove as much as posible, wipe off excess, cut your letters and tap off. They come off so easy and complete!!!

Hard to use
I bought these because I had plunger alphabet letters but needed numbers. I thought I’d try these but the fondant sticks and is hard to get out even if you let fondant sit and harden a little. They may work but just didn’t for me. I like my plunger letters better for ease of use.

Great Small Letters
This alphabet set was just what I was looking for. I needed to fit 2 names on the side of a cake on top of each other, and these worked perfectly. They are a little small, but exactly what I needed.

Buyer be AWARE - These ARE NOT INDIVIDUAL, TINY and THIN
Letters are in a ruler like piece of plastic. It comes with a fondant cutter to cut a strip out, place one letter on the then cut fondant strip at a time, cut and move to next letter. You cannot separate the letter so you cannot use these to imprint them onto a cake for piping over and they are tiny. These are less than a half inch and come out very thin and flimsy. I tried using thicker fondant and they wouldn't cut through it. Short of figuring out how to cut through the plastic and separate the letters so I can imprint fondant for piping, I don't think I would likely use these.

These are easy to use and both the letters and numbers are a lovely font. I use them a lot. These are actually very easy to use although I hear a lot of complaints about tappits. You need to use modelling or flower paste, fondant is too soft. Roll the paste really thin, then roll it some more. Go and make a cup of tea leaving the rolled paste to dry a little. After about 10 mins, apply a thin layer of cornflour onto the cutters and tap out the excess. Put it onto your modelling paste and give it a good wiggle to cut through. Pick the cutter up and pull off any excess paste from around the letters. Gently tap one end on your work top, I used a kind of flicking motion to do this. The letters then come out really easily. Gently move them with a spatula onto a board to dry out. Easy!
