Winsor & Newton, Deep Red Drawing Ink, 14ml Bottle, Acrylic

My son uses this Winsor & Newton Ink and it works very well. The color is rich and consistent, and the ink flows smoothly without issues. It’s easy to use with brushes and dip pens, dries quickly, and gives his drawings a clean, professional look. He really enjoys working with it. Great quality and definitely worth it.

As a calligrapher and pen & ink cartoonist of over 50 years, Winsor & Newton remains the best quality ink on the market. It flows beautifully and provides a rich black. You may think when the bottle arrives, why did I pay so much for this tiny little bottle? It's not only worth it, but that tiny little bottle goes a long way, and will last you a very long time. You're not painting, you're drawing or doing calligraphy with it.

It doesnt make a mess, its cheap, and easy to use!

This is a very nice ink. I don't have much experience with other inks, so I can't compare very thoroughly, but it definitely satisfies all my ink needs. You just have to remember to shake it before using it and like others have said, clean very well. I have had the hardest time trying to get the cap off after the ink has sealed it shut and end up using rubber gloves for several minutes. That is the only downside. I bought this with the intention to use it for multimedia projects. I also thought I might only need this and not gold paint as well, but I don't think it is a good replacement because it is very runny. (It is ink after all.) In any case, it can be used on some things, but you have to be careful. I tried painting a polymer clay sculpture with it and then painting glazing over it, but the glaze caused the ink to come off even when the ink was dry. I ended up just dripping the glaze on and letting it dry without actually painting it over with the brush. That way it did not come off. But I will probably not be trying that again. As for the white, it can be used instead of white paint in certain circumstances because it is a bit more opaque, but again you have to experiment a bit. It is harder to draw on afterwards with marker or pen because it is harder and shinier when it dries. (Paint is matte.) But it is a lot smoother than paint when it dries. So it is great if you are not intending to draw on it afterwards. Even so, if I need other colors of ink (right now I only have white, gold, and silver), I will be buying this brand.

I am happy with this ink, it is a nice dark color and easy to blend with water.

The ink is so smooth and vibrant. I got a glass pen recently and needed water based ink. This was perfect! It dried quick and was easy to use. I definitely recommend this brand and especially this beautiful, bold color.

This product has shellac in it. It writes very well, but requires you to thoroughly clean your dip pen after every use. Never use this product in a fountain style pen, it will quit working and you will probably never get it working again.

Very good ink, dries fast, but not too fast that you can't play around with it. I got it in the shade "Brick Red" and love the colour!👍🏻

This ink is wonderful! I use it with a brush for illustrating/drawing. I have not tried using it in something like a fountain pen for calligraphy though. It does need a shake before use in order for the colour to be consistent, as it separates a little over time. I really like the way the container looks, it's very cute and stylish. I opted for a small pot to begin with, as I didn't know how much I'd use, but of course if you're going to use a lot, definitely go for a bigger container, otherwise it would get expensive quickly. Perhaps the pot could be refilled with the larger container and used as a smaller way of keeping it?
