Model 40 Flush Lever - 1 Each by Mansfield Plumbing

Replaced my old toilet handle with this one, and it fit perfectly with no hassle. Installation took just a couple of minutes and everything works smoothly so far. Feels solid enough, but I’ll have to see how it holds up over time. For now, very happy with it.

I ordered two flush levers, one didn't have a lock nut with it, I tried to contact the seller but had no response. I used the nut off the old lever, I had to put it on with the flange side facing out to make it work. it is sad that they don't check things before shipping.

I bought the RELIABILT 8-in Front Mount Chrome plated Toilet lever (Item #29239) from Lowe's Home Improvement as I needed the handle to replace the one that just broke. It says on the package that it is for the Mansfield and it looked like it would work correctly. The handle from Lowe's had too much on an angle and it did not work on my toilet. This handle from Amazon fit perfectly with no issues, it was available and arrived the next day, was really easy to install, was the same price as the one from Lowe's, and matched the other one perfectly. We will see how long it holds up but my old one lasted 10 years. While the front of the handle doesn't say Mansfield like the old one, the packaging looks legit and says Mansfield on the box.

I really tried to buy this locally but the hardware store brands and multi-purpose ones that claim to work for this model of toilet just don't fit. This was an exact replacement and installed very intuitively within a few minutes with no tools and is perfectly stable - I have never repaired a toilet myself but it was really easy to figure out. Yes it's plastic but it's the same as the original which appears to have lasted 30 years, so I expect it's highly durable. This toilet model is one of the ubiquitous extremely cheap builder-grade toilets so it's more likely that the toilet will need replacing before the replacement handle breaks again.

Ordered a generic because I did not see the Mansfield version when I first searched. The generic one did not have the second arm angle bend so it hit the inside wall of the toilet. It was also too long so I had to destroy it to find out. Waste of money. This one popped in and out in seconds and worked great. Photo of the back of the package because it took me an image search to find the valve and back into the type. Direct connection of the arm through the loop on the valve is what you're looking for. This worked great!
