Morphy Richards 978051 Dimensions Roll Top Bread Bin with Stainless Steel Body, White

I nearly didn't buy this after several reviews noted that the item was damaged, however; it wouldn't be the first item I have needed to return (usually with ease) so I decided to take the plunge. Aside from the Amazon box, it was packed in another brown cardboard box, together with the item's signature box, together with cardboard protection either end of the bread bin and and a cardboard strip through the middle protecting the handle and stopping it from moving in transit. With all that protection, it arrived in perfect condition. I shouldn't have worried. One thing I noticed early was the air holes in the back of the unit, to allow some air circulation, which isn't pictured above. I've read from a few top chefs online that bread needs air and should not be kept in an air-tight container. I accepted their word, which is why I chose this style of bread bin. The bin is very light, roomy, clean and attractive and arrived in perfect working order. I'll update again when I have had time to determine if my bread lasts longer than without it, but so far, I'm happy with purchase and happy to recommend.

Love this bread bin looks super completes the set in my kitchen.

Very expensive, possibly taking advantage as the brand name's well-known but I must admit it worked on me! I really like the lid as the roller movement is totally smooth. Sturdiness is OK but not as thick metal as bread bins of yore so could dent more easily, so I decided to buy brand new in case. The grey metal marks easily e.g. water marking or finger marks, so needs to be wiped down frequently to maintain a pristine appearance. Looks great. It's grey metal inside so it looks dark in there. The product page gives the external dimensions (on a diagram), but note that the internal dimensions are, unusually, smaller by as much as 3 to 4 cm at each side at the front, and overall size of loaf matters too as regards manoeuvring it inside. My large long artisan loaves had to be stored outside until enough had been cut off to fit inside :-) I must confess I'd prefer this product to be a bit taller so that it's more in proportion to its width, for long loaves.

Excellent bread bin fits all sizes of bread and space for other items like rolls cakes etc. Easy to use with its sliding up and over lid. The colour matched the rest of my items which was one of the reasons I bought it.
