nice little leather jounal,till you try to use it. The strap to close it on mine is too wide so very difficult to fit through the loop. Plastic inserts have yellow stains on them? and leather scratches and marks every time you breath on it. Po stage Stamp stickers have no sticky and had already fallen off backing before being removed from zip pocket. Would return, but brought as birthday gift so am hoping the receipent isnt as disappointed as I was. All in all very expensive for what it is. Compass held on with one strand of thin cotton which is already frayed and brass pen holder is only useful as decoration. if it was for me would return in a heartbeat.

It was a gift bought for my son in law and I am ver pleased with the overall look and quality.

I thought I was ordering the beautiful book pictured- instead paid 20e for 4 tiny paperback notebooks- this was meant as a Christmas present- utterly disgusted

I've noticed that a couple of the other reviewers received this item for free to test and review it. I purchased this item after finding it on Amazon while searching for a small journal.This little thing is just perfect. It is perfect in it's design, and its imperfections.Let me begin with the materials. The cover is really nice, thick and supple leather. It does scuff VERY easily, but this is not poor quality on their part, this kind of leather will do that. Most light scuffs and marks can be buffed out with a bit of rubbing. (DO NOT make the mistake I did of putting the stamp stickers on the cover. If you peel them off it leaves a residue, this of course can be buffed out too, but they don't stick very well to the leather and will fall off).The little books are good quality and texture, and the cords that hold them in place are strong, there is no slipping of the books, and no worry that pages will fall out or tear easily.The charm is cute. It was too short to fit through the book and dangle out the bottom, but that was easily fixed by untying it and letting the string out a bit.The pockets work well. The ones in the front are too small for a standard business card, but would fit small wallet sized photos (which I believe is the purpose of them) and the pocket in the back could fit business cards, small photos, some real stamps maybe.Functionality and Design wise I love this little thing. As the reviewer who posted a video mentioned the slit for the leather strap that holds it closed is a bit tight. I used a pencil to left it up and try and stretch it a bit and loosen it some, and it does work a bit better, but I've already scratched and scuffed around the slit and the end of the strap in just the five minutes I've been using it. I may use one of my book corner accent pieces to fold over the point of the strap to cover it in metal, which will make it easier to slide through.The way the books are held in with the cords is genius. When you fill a book you can take it out and replace it. And as the books are just paper folded into books and stapled you could even very easily make your own booklets for this with very little time/effort/money.The size is perfect. It is a pocket journal that can really fit in a pocket. A small pencil fits perfectly inside the strap and is held tight enough to not worry about it slipping out.The most appealing thing to me is the look of it. The few scuffs and marks on it just give it a nice aged look. The charm and the gold clasp also serve to give it a kind of old-timey feel and look about it, and the smell of the leather is wonderful.This little book is already a cherished possession and it will be even more so when I begin using it to record all my thoughts, ideas, and entries. It will be my constant companion wherever I go. Well worth the price, in my opinion, if you want to pay extra for the novelty of the design and look. you can get a similar sized journal for less than $10 but if you want something different, something as unique as the ideas and thoughts you record in it, then this is something you will really enjoy.

Great quality from 7Felicity. This smaller sized travelers journal is super sharp looking. Thick cut, full grain leather embodies this refillable journal, and the coloring is fantastic. I love the distressed look of the brown color. The metal pen clip is great and comes in really handy, and they also even include an extra/spare refill notebook. I also purchased the larger version of this journal TWICE. Just because I love them that much. This journal looks even better in person! I was very pleasantly surprised when I received this item, and I'm happy I'll be able to use it for years to come.Some people have said the closure can be difficult to open and close the journal. I disagree. I think this is a nicely added touch as opposed to some other journals that have an elastic band closure to keep the journal closed. With those types, I find they sort of leave an indent on the leather from the pressure of the elastic binding it closed. I also don't find myself having a difficult time opening and closing this journal with the closure this book has. I feel the closure keeps this book securely closed, and extremely easy to open and close again.Also, with this type of leather, there are going to be surface marks as you use it and break it in. I happen to like this distressed look that happens over time. If you're not one of those types of people who favor this appearance though, then you can simply get rid of the "scratch marks" by using a leather conditioner/treatment. They will disappear. Truth is, all leather will have markings on it. Leather is a natural product. Naturally, it will develop its own unique markings/patina over time.I only recently got in to the whole "refillable" journal thing, and can't believe it took me this long to discover there even was such a thing. Other companies are selling these journals as well, but I'll stick with 7Felicity. After purchasing this one, I ordered the large one, and it is equally as beautiful. And the large one also comes with an extra notebook of paper. The plastic card holder that's included also comes in very handy for storing cards, notes, and other things of that size. I see some people also don't favor this liner. You can easily remove it if you don't happen to like it. Personally, I think it's a nice added touch, and I keep the plastic holder in there, just incase I happen to need it for something. I don't find it to interfere with anything, but if there is a time where I don't want it in there, it's nice to know I can easily remove it.Trust, you won't be disappointed with this item. It came packaged beautifully, and is definitely top notch in quality. The leather isn't thin or shammy. It's thick, yet pliable. Rugged and distressed in appearance. Definitely everything I was hoping it would be and then some! I almost don't want to write in it because I want to keep it brand new as long as I can! Thankfully, you can purchase replacement books, so you'll be able to have this book to enjoy for years upon years to come! I believe they also included an extra elastic rope with this journal as well just incase one snaps.. Which I don't picture happening, but it's nice to know it's there just incase.Like I said, I enjoyed this brand so much, I now have 3 of their journals total. 2 large, and 1 of these. I may even purchase a second one of these smaller ones! Overall, better than I expected, and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys writing, traveling and writing, sketching, etc. These are great books! I feel extremely lucky to have 3 of them!
