I simply love this hook! I have arthritis and this hook is perfect for me, it's a little heavier so it easily slides thru the yarn. I can crochet all day with no hand pain. I love that the hook is made in the USA; when you hold it you can feel how well it was made. It is truly beautiful and i know this will last. I know it is pricey but the amount of time a crochet I felt it was well worth the investment.

I had no clue what the hype was about but once I started crocheting with this hook, I WAS HOOKED! This is the Cadillac of crochet hooks. Hands down, it’s THE BEST!

Bought this hook in what was advertised as new with damaged box condition for $20 cheaper than the other one listed. When it arrived, the box was definitely crushed on one end but when I opened the hook, it had 2 lines in the handle as if it had been rolled over or scraped. I was able to petition for an additional discount due to damage to the hook bringing it to a more reasonable price. Since this purchase I have joined a furls Facebook group and found out they bring back the gold plated hooks occasionally. They have previously been $66 directly from furls but supposedly prices are going up soon. But if you buy directly from furls they replace defective hooks, so thought it was worth noting if you are willing to be patient. Last note: I tried this hook for half a shawl but swapped back to my bates inline hook. Furls kept splitting the ply making progress slower. Probably user error or incompatible yarn. Will try again with a different yarn and hopefully will make a difference. It is definitely nice for knife holds, tried pencil but balance felt weird. Need to experiment more for sure.

I love the Furls Odyssey crochet hooks. I'm able to crochet for longer periods of time using these hooks.

This Odyssey hook is smooth and a pleasure to use. I saw a crafter using it on YouTube and I had to have one or two...lol. No hand fatigue. No struggling with the stitches. I’m a beginner at crocheting. If I’m singing Odyssey praises, imagine what an experienced crafter would say! :)

So far, I really do like this hook. I didn’t know what to expect for this price, but I needed a hook this size with a metal hook and comfy handle. The shape and balance are lovely. My only issue is that the hook portion is loose and wiggles. In fact, it’s getting looser with each use and seems to be coming out of the handle. For $30, it seems ridiculous that it feels like it is already coming apart. Furthermore, the more it shifts, the more stitches I lose. Was it meant to do this? Or do I have a defective hook. sicher nicht die günstigste Variante, aber liegt unvergleichlich gut in der Hand, gleitet gut… habe ein etwas anspruchsvolleres Muster mit einer Bambusnadel begonnen und dann gewechselt - kein Vergleich 😊

I bout this hook but it’s not strong and the tip it brooks expensive fro nothing

I was so looking forward to getting my first Furls crochet hook but turned out that the weigh of the hook was not as heavy as I wanted. It actually hurts my hand. I ended up returning the hook. Too bad.
