The compass appears to be made well and looks like it should be a welcome addition to one's compass collection. I purchased this unit to obtain the compass itself, not the box, as I plan on putting it in a turned wooden enclosure if I can ever determine how to remove it from it's box without breaking either. This unit will certainly make someone a wonderful compass or welcomed gift!

Very nice wooden box and presentation of the brass compass. The compass appears to be made well and looks like it should be a welcome addition to one's compass collection.
