Hampton Nautical Boxed Desk Brass Compass with Rosewood Box, 3", Brass

So beautiful and very well-made! This was better quality than I expected it to be. I gave it to a friend as a gift and he absolutely loves it!

Very nice wooden box and presentation of the brass compass. The compass appears to be made well and looks like it should be a welcome addition to one's compass collection. I purchased this unit to obtain the compass itself, not the box, as I plan on putting it in a turned wooden enclosure if I can ever determine how to remove it from it's box without breaking either. This unit will certainly make someone a wonderful compass or welcomed gift!

My son who is into sailing got this - looks fabulous, high quality finishes -just not sure it works. Will post later...

Although the compass looks nice in the wood setting the bottom piece of wood has a large crack in it. I am not sure if this is supposed to make it look antique and weathered or if it is truly a flaw. To me it makes it look cheaply crafted.

This arrived broken. quality was not so great. Bummed out!

Ron Swanson told me that all great adventurers need one and so I got this one for my little brother as a graduation gift. He loves it. The wood case has a gold anchor on top and looks super classy. The compass itself is gold and has a needle lock for when it's not in use, great quality and would buy this agin for any of my friends.

Very attractive, but the compass is not as strong as I would have liked, and sometimes sticks not quite at north.

Beautiful and small enough to fit on a desk. Good graduation present.
