Review: A Life Saver - At the end of October last year, I found that needed chemotherapy. My protocol is 3 medications - 1 self administered injection weekly and 6 capsules daily. A side effect of the treatment is loss of appetite and severe daily nausea. One of my friends suggested taking the medications using the Ensure. I was skeptical but took the advice. I figured it Could't make my situation worse. It made a tremendous, reducing the severe nausea, especially immediately after getting the meds down. I am still have nausea, but the Ensure helps. I still have another 3 months of treatment and I will continue using the Ensure to take my meds and help me maintain a healthy weigh I cannot eat. I have tried 3 flavored and I swear by the vanilla. The only downside using Ensure is the cost. At $20 a box and with me unable to work, it chews up any monies I have. (Example; $500 for May June when drinking 3-6 bottles daily) I am really happy I started using the Ensure. Had I not, I am not so sure I would continue the chemotherapy because of the daily nausea. **Q: The price for the 16 Count, 8 oz Bottles is usually around 18 - 20 dollars. Why is it 33 dollars today?**
A: It is $30 today 7/20/2014. I will wait for the price to come down to $18.

A: The case I purchased last month expires 4/1/2015

A: The 16-pack is the normal Ensure. The 24-pack is usually the Ensure Plus. Check carefully before ordering.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the recovering too!

Just got back from a very debilitating time in the hospital where I lost about 25 lbs. Considering I was at a good, healthy weight before going in this was not good. I was down to no reserve fat. Without reserve fat the body takes energy from muscle. The heart is muscle. That is why I was in the hospital. Upon returning to normal eating habits at home I regained 12 lbs and plateaued and not much of that was fat. So my choices were more empty carbohydrates, more sugars, more salty snacks, eating at fast food places. Or I could break years of hard learned eating habits that lead to losing 60 lbs down to a healthy 160s. Or I could add healthy calories. By the book this stuff is about as healthy as you can get. And I am hoping the habit of drinking this between meals will not become a new bad eating habit leading back to obesity. At least it is easy to stop having the stuff around to drink which is half of breaking a bad habit.
