Can someone tell me how wide this tape is?

3/4 " wide and 1/8 th of an inch thick.....it s very sticky and holds well...it took my hat from very loose to fitting well. bought it twice..... kind regards....lady Martina-Claire.

Can this used at a sweatband liner?

This tape is meant to take up space and keep your hat from slipping. It’s not going to absorb anything. But it would stick to an existing sweatband, or underneath one.

Can I use this as a border on a chalkboard? I painted the inside of a kitchen cabinet with chalkboard tape and am looking to make a border.

No,this is a foam tape that is used to make a hat that is slightly too large,fit snug on your head.

Can you double up the tape to make any hat fit better? I have a small head, 21in around and most OS hats are much bigger.

Well, you probably can, but I would just buy a smaller hat to begin with. I ended up with one width at the base of the crown with a side near the brim, on the inside of the sweat band and it turns out that is just the right amount to make up for my slightly larger hat than expected. If I wanted a bit more snug fit, I would put a second ring of tape side-by-side around the crown to double the width and make the hat snugger up higher. But I would NOT put a second layer of tape on top of the first one. Too much of a bulge in the sweatband.
