This makes a nice surface to build my foundation on and keeps my pores from clogging. The price is phenomenal for how well it works. I see an immediate difference in skin tone when I apply it. I will continue buying it.

One squirt goes a long way. It is a bit greasy feeling, but as long as you don't already have oily skin, or use a powder foundation you shouldn't have an issue with it giving you a greasy look. If the first seven million pumps don't work, don't worry. I thought it was defective at first, but I pumped about seven million more times and it finally got thing flowing lol It makes you skin feel very soft, and the smell isn't too bad when you open the top and smell inside, but I can't really smell it at all when I apply it. I attached two photos: One with just the primer (and my eyebrows lol) on, and one after applying a simple face of make up (Younique Touch Pressed Powder Foundation, Younique Lip Stain, gloss, liner & mascara.) With a bare face (sorry, I forgot to do one without primer) my face is combination-- I have oily spots in the center of my forehead and beneath my eyes.

I love this product! It goes on so smoothly, my face feels silky, it's a great primer and it's affordable! You only need a couple small pumps, the size of a pea. I've tried other primers from expensive to cheap...this one is my favorite. I bought the green primer, too, but the purple seems to work better on me to brighten than the green tone-correcting.

POSITIVES: The primer corrects my pores, my imperfections like discoloration, leaves my skin super soft and luminous without looking sparkly or greasy. It really is the perfect primer (so far). I can count on it to leave it a perfect canvas so that makeup doesn't pill up and glides on without tugging and it lasts. It adds a layer of moisture without being heavy. It is so soothing and like my skin actually craves it. I have seen previous complaints when people used this on a clean face with no other skincare products. One must prepare their face with those products or this won't spread correctly, you may need to use too much because it is being absorbed when your face needs the moisture, it may feel greasy because it is just sitting on top of your skin because there is nothing in between, or your skin is patchy from not being taken care of properly. It does feel slightly slick especially at first but then it dries and feels soft. To me that was a big draw because makeup didn't settle in uneven places or get thick or pill or ball up because the area wasn't being dried out. I didn't feel like I was wearing paste or clay. It is extremely light. It gave me a healthy glow like I was lit within with no sparkle or dewy shine that can be bad for acne prone or oily skin. This is perfect for skin with issues. It helps my concealer go on without getting thick or cakey around the under eye folds and small creases. When makeup gathers in creases, even tiny ones, it just emphasizes them and makes them stand out. This helps everything blend in so they are not noticeable. If I'm having a puffy eye day or dark circles, this helps bring that down and calm the area. I also like to wear it with my skincare without foundation or powder and just a little concealer because it really is that good. The other products I've used and the order I use them in matters. I have super sensitive allergy prone skin that likes to react and turn red or get hives so this is one that I have not reacted to and if I'm already in a reaction it helps tone it down and soothe my skin. NEGATIVES: Now, for the bad part. Nobody likes pointing out the bad things, at least I don't but I wanted to let people know a few things. The pump dispenser is HORRIBLE!! Like, almost non-existent, it is that bad!! Please see my video. It has a very short little nub that is supposed to pump out all the product down to the bottom of the jar. It used to be the packaging was misleading and it was not filled all the way down and had a wider chamber inside. People had complained on here that it didn't fill the container so maybe the company found out and listened. That little nub tube still didn't reach all the product even when it was a shorter chamber and they didn't correct the issue with it. Now they have the tube of product go all the way down (much skinnier inner chamber of product than the outside package would have you believe) but there is no way to get it out after the first 2 or 3 uses without jamming a q-tip down in it because there is no tube connected to the pump to go down in there to retrieve the product. It is such an easy fix and they have had the same pump for ages now. I'd think with the complaints sprinkled in about it on here that they have had over the years they would have upgraded it by now. My guess is they have not gotten enough complaints directly to their company and people aren't checking the packaging to find out what is really going on. I think people are just replacing it without realizing there is a bunch of product they can't get out and not paying attention how long it's been since the last time they ordered, or just switching to something else altogether out of frustration. I'm only knocking down a couple stars because the pump is such a complete fail. They would do much better putting it in a squeezable tube. We could actually get the product out, it would be cleaner than a pot, and we could see how much product we have left. I am new to trying primers and so far this is my favorite. It lessens the redness, "smooths out" wrinkles (as far as makeup application is concerned anyway) and results in my skin feeling pleasantly silky and smooth in a way that isn't shiny or greasy.

I use only this when I don't feel like doing the whole make up routine. It blurs minor flaws & leaves a soft, matte finish.

Elf primers are one of the best primers available in the market. This one s gud too. But I had used the green and blue ones in the past and I would like to go back to them again. Green during summers for oily and blue during winters for dry skin. All in all very good. Worth trying once. It closes pores and gives an even makeup base. Never caused me breaking out while using them.

I have never been one to use primer, but I am so glad I have found this one. The purple colour definitely lifts my olive skin complexion and it goes on super smooth. Makes my skin feel so silky and has a beautiful matte finish. I have to be careful what I put into my skin as it’s oily and very prone to getting spots, but not a single breakout with this primer. Already on my second one and I 100% recommend this product!

Los productos de ELF, son buenísimos en general, muy buena calidad, para ser productos de super mercado y/o de farmacia, en particular este primer es muy bueno para pieles mixtas, muy buena textura, empareja el tono de piel y definitivamente la base se ajusta mejor. Mejor precio en Amazon que en otros establecimientos.

It's really smooth on face as said in some of the reviews. Good product. It is come in same wrapping n bottle.

The second it touches your skin it mattafies. It’s smooth and goes on easily. I would advise giving a few minutes between applying this and then your makeup as I found it tends to pill if you go straight on with makeup.
