It has three levels of brightness allowing it to shine through thick pages. My daughter has gotten into flip animation and this is something that has become a time saver for her to trace her drawings with subtle changes. She loves it.Con: Only concern and it is quite serious is the plug adapter that goes into the wall is not a solid piece. It has a casing around the cube shape plug that goes in the wall and my daughter pulled it out from the wall one time and the outer casing slid right off exposing all the wiring inside the plug adapter. She actually touched the first time and got a bit of a shock. Not Cool!!!
