Absolutely perfect!
First off, measure your head, don't just order a Medium because you think you have an average sized head. I assumed I'd be a Medium, but I measured my head, and the numbers indicated I was a Large. I happened to have read someone else's review somewhere that said they originally got a Medium, but instead had to return it and get a Large. So I went with those two pieces of evidence and just ordered the Large. It fits like a glove, seriously, it slides on, nice and snug, but doesn't hurt at all. I am very sensitive to tight hats, even winter hats that aren't loose enough give me terrible headaches, but this thing is sized so perfectly, it's no problem.I always wanted a Pro-Tec helmet, since my childhood in the 80s, watching the Bones Brigade all wearing theirs. Now I'm pushing 40, and to be a good role model for my daughter, daddy got a helmet too. My daughter picked out Deep Red for me, and I love it.I'm thrilled with the helmet, the fit, the quality, and the price.

NOT a safe helmet
In the description, it said this was a certified CE/CPSC/ABS helmet, but it is not. I feel this company is trying to sell dangerous helmets to parents who are looking for quality helmets to protect their kids. I did my research, and took a chance even though other reviews said they didn't get a certified helmet. There is even a sticker one the box that says that this helmet doesn't meet safety guidelines and only offers minimal protection! Why would anyone want a helmet that doesn't really protect their child's head?

Great looking helmet. Does not meet any safety or impact certification standards.
This is the Pro-Tec "Skate Helmet". Not certified, but good finish, good materials, and good looks. Fit is comfy too. They run small, so order one size up. I normally wear a "Large" Motorcycle helmet, and an "Extra Large" Protec. It wasn't disclosed in the description that these helmets do not meet any safety standards. There is even warning label on the box and on the helmet that the helmet "Offers Minimal protection", and "does not meet any safety standards". It does have some protection foam, but it isn't CE/CPSC certified like it says in the description. It has a great look to it, and is very lightweight. Other helmets make you look like you've got a mushroom on your head, this one is form fitting and very light. Most certified helmets are a "one hit wonder", meaning they are designed to absorb impact by destroying the helmet instead of your head. Now if you were expecting many small bumps, this helmet would work, but for preventing brain truama this isn't certified.Bottom line - Good comfort, light weight, and good looks, but not a certified safety helmet.

Color doesn't quite match the photo
The helmet I ordered is a different shade of gray than that of the picture. It has silver lettering while the photo shows it to have black lettering. The one I ordered looked a little better, but this one is alright. Fit is a little snug even though I was at the lower end of the sizing scale. Oh well, it's just a helmet.

Pretty cool!
Yeah! I ordered a Large adult Punk pink! It's awesome! It's well ventilated and light weight, but definitely offers tons of protection (ok, not that I've fallen on my head lately, but it's got a good protection vibe). Also a bonus, the extra bright color is nice because it is easy to see for motorists. I thought the pink might be too much, but it really isn't... honestly even without the bright color it's already kind of garish, it's a skate helmet for crying out loud. Add in the punk pink color and we bring it to wonderful new levels of ridiculous fabulous, fashionably questionable FUN! Love it, wouldn't change a thing. I found the company size chart to be accurate. I was borderline between a Large and an XL. My husband has an XL (black, not fab pink) so I tried it on. It fit fine, but I wanted a snugger fit so I got the large and it is perfecto.

NOT ADULT SIZES. THESE ARE CHILD SIZES
Helmet is as advertised- Protec classic skater style but beware of sizing. These are NOT adult helmets. They are child sizes.

Nice helmet, small sizing
I bought this helmet for my wife. The helmet looks awesome, it looks very quality and from handling it, it seems to be excellent quality, however the size is definitely meant for children. Based on the sizing chart from the manufacturers website (for adult helmets), my wife needed a small. So, we ordered a small. When it arrived she tried it on and it was way too small. My 11 year old daughter tried it on and it was even to small for her. It fit my 8 year old son the best, but it was pink so we opted to send it back instead of making him wear a pink helmet. We're going to order another, however this time we'll be ordering a large.

XL fit my huge head
I wear a 17 3/4" hat and the XL fit my head perfectly. This helmet is strong and not bulky like some other helmets I have tried. I use it for bike riding and it keep my head relatively cool.
