And finally, it comes pre-oiled; I could tell when I gave it a quick rinse because my hands were a oily from handling it. This is good in my book because the wood shouldn't be bone dry. The first time I used it I did put some very visible marks in it, but that happens when you chop bones. Here's the good part - the board has not cracked. I was worried about that after reading the reviews. I enjoyed ii and used it approximately three times per week. One year later it has split at the seams on both ends of the cutting board. Prior to this purchase, I thoroughly researched β€œbest cutting boards β€œ and felt this would be the best product to purchase. . I reached out to the company. Even though it was outside the warranty date the replaced the cutting board, the company replaced the item with additional care instructions. I can’t say enough good things about Hayvin Prather in customer service.
