Lee Precision Reloading LP90695 308 WIN Ultimate Rifle Die Set,Silver

This is a solid set of reloading dies. The neck-sizing die is a bonus item that may or may not see a practical use case for me as the full-length sizing die will allow cases to fit into any rifle. I have not determined whether or not I want to use fire-formed brass in my hunting rifle but that is what the neck-sizing die affords for me. It is a neat add-in. Most reloaders don't want other people to shoot their stuff anyway because of the liability. With that said, some of Lee's loading data appears to be pretty hot which I like. Their are a good selection of powders in the pamphlet as well.

Lee reloading dies are amazing quality for the price. The crimping die did get stuck but a little gun lube and it works perfectly. I doubt I will purchase any no lee dies.

.308 dies work as advertised. I wanted it mostly for rhe neck sizer, seater die, and crimp die since I only use a bolt gun. The full size die will be nice when I find nice range brass. I did try it on some junk brass, it did work fine. The neck size die doesn't constrict as much as I would like, but the crimp die compensates for that. If your press doesn't have a cam-over design, compressed loads might not remained compressed if you only plan on neck sizing. I cam-overed some load development charges for a minute a piece when bullet seating (to force everything to settle and air time to escape), then crimped. They have yet to change in overall length, it's been a week since I loaded them. Both the 168 ELD-Ms and the 174 ELD-VTs seated fine in the seating die, the polymer tip wasn't damaged. I was impressed when it came to the 174s because they have really long ogives, the bullets are about as long as a 208 ELD-M.

Lee dies are always great. That's all I use in four presses. BUT! Someone could have put a simple piece of tape on to hold the plastic case shut. When these were delivered the dies were hitting each other in the delivery envelope and the threads are a bit beat up. These will work but attention to small things goes a long way.

I have several Lee reloading dies and have used other manufacturers dies as well. I have come to prefer the Lee dies for ease of use, great packaging and instruction foldout sheets. Oh, and they tend to be less expensive than other brands.
