cotton tampons I’ve found. The cardboard applicator is better than other brands and very comfortable. They are a bit more pricey, but definitely worth it. I get mine through Whole Foods now, which is super convenient.

My teenage daughter really really wanted to wear tampons, and I was very very against it because of the risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome). She was constantly nagging me each and every month when that time came around that she wanted tampons and not pads to the point that I started doing some research to see if there was a way to compromise. I discovered that 100 percent cotton tampons severely reduced the risk of TSS if not eliminated it (although you still need to change them at least every 8 hours to be safe). I told my daughter if she was willing to change her tampon every 4 to 8 hours I was willing to buy her organic cotton tampons and she agreed. When I ordered this product I was very skeptical. I wasn't sure she would be able to put them in properly without the applicator or that they would be uncomfortable for her. I was also worried about leaking due to some of the other reviews. If you're worried about these things, rest assured that my daughter has had absolutely no trouble getting them in even without an applicator and they haven't leaked at all. The price is also amazing compared to other organic cotton tampons. It makes getting her organic cotton tampons affordable. If you or your daughter want to wear tampons but you're afraid of TSS, this product will significantly reduce that risk and it is not at all hard to get them in or out and there have been no problems with leaking here. I definitely recommend. An amazing price for a great product. You can't go wrong with these. Plus the packaging makes them very discreet. My daughter can hide one in the palm of her hand and excuse herself to the bathroom during class if she needs to change it and no one notices she's holding anything. An altogether great product.

Only tampons I will ever use. Non toxic but perform great! These don’t have an applicator but I actually like these more. They are easy to insert and very discreet in your pocket or purse. I like to buy this box size just to keep in my car or purse.

Gets the job done. I love their brand, just not the applicator ones, they are different from the individual wrapped ones. Which I would expect, but I did not enjoy.

I really trust these. Natracare tampons are manufactured in Europe under strict guidlines in a sterile environment. They are organic cotton with no rayon, and are bleached with hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine. They are available with applicators and without- in the case of those with applicators, they are cardboard. (I will say Natracare has changed the applicator in the past couple of years, and I'm not totally wild about the new design- sort of an "asterisk" shape at the opening of the cardboard applicator which the tampon must pass through- which I find rather unnecessary) But I still think that these are the best tampons out there. Safe, naturally bleached organic cotton. No scents, no rayon, no plastic applicators, no dioxins, no junk. Simple. Great. I give these as many stars as I can, and then some. Absolutely worth every penny.

I've used lots of different brands of tampons and was excited to try this brand that is free from some of the chemicals that the other brands have. The shipping took forever (a few weeks), but maybe that's just Amazon's fault? These are, hands down, the hardest tampons to insert. There isn't really a way to grip or get ahold of the cardboard in order to slide it up. I have to try to use my fingernails on the outter cardboard and force it, then wind up taking the hole thing out and doing it manually without the "applicator". It's gross. Idk, I might prefer the other brands over that whole messy situation. I'm tired, I'm crampy, I'm bleeding, I have a toddler crying on the other side of the bathroom door because I won't let her watch me pee. I really need a tampon applicator that works.

First, I’d like to say that when I first started wearing tampons, I always bought the cardboard applicators because they were cheaper. So, I actually like these tampons. The tampon itself is a bit longer than the Tampax Supers I use, which I actually like because it lets me go an extra hour before I need to change it. Secondly, what is up with the packaging? It looks like everyone is having the same issue: the box is beat to hell when it arrives. The look isn’t very appealing, which I personally don’t care about, but I’m worried about the product getting damaged if the box doesn’t hold up. Overall, I will be purchasing these again!

These are the best tampons that are good for the environment. No plastic to get rid of and the tampons are hypoallergenic due to being organic, unbleached and no nasties that go into the more well- known brands. Totally recommend and affordable.

I've used this brand for years. They work well. I appreciate the lack of bleaching as I don't want my body absorbing bleach and I'm sure you don't either.
