Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane is 3X thicker than traditional polyurethane. Its advanced self-leveling formula allows projects to be completed with only one coat meaning projects get done 3Xs faster while providing excellent protection.

But don't be fooled this is more than your ordinary polyurethane. It Is water-based. It has UV protections in it to keep it from yellowing It also mentions an additive they make to make it last even longer. And like all polyurethanes it's one of the most durable ceiling coats you can use. With it being water-based make sure that if you are going to use stain or any other type of sealant it is a water-based stain or sealant as well Do not use an oil one or they will not be compatible with each other. What makes this polyurethane unique and a little more costly, but justifies the price, is that it coats at three times the effectiveness and volume. It is thicker than any polyurethane that I've ever used. Despite that it doesn't seem to clump or drip excessively. It transfers to and from the brush or roller in a clean uniform way. I used it on my workbench that is an outfeed for my table saw. Wood glides great across the surface. So far it's offered excellent protection and waterproofing capabilities fulfilling just what I need from a durable clear sealant. With a glass like finish.
