A very different kind of chili ...
Love this stuff! It's not like "Texas-style" chili -- totally different flavor and texture. I've had this in Dayton, OH at a Skyline Chili restaurant and this canned version is just like the original -- yummy! I serve it just like they do at the restaurant: over spaghetti, topped with cheese (you can add other toppings if you like). It's not available locally in supermarkets, so I order it online. Great to have on hand for a quick supper.

Love this chili
Love Skyline chili. Mixed with spaghetti and poured chili over it, with shredded cheese. Just like being in the restaurant.

this stuff is an acquired taste that i haven't acquired. if i was supreme king of the world i wouldn't permit this substance to leave the state of Ohio.. unless we were to use it as an agent of war against America's enemies... I suppose for every person who hates the product there is someone who loves it.. so i dunno.. best comparison.. if you love the wendy's canned chili.. the odds are you will not love skyline chili.. if you like chunky canned chili you will probably not like skyline chili. those two canned chili alternatives come to my mind.. but there is plenty in the world. wish i could get a refund as i do not intend to consume more than the 1 can i did.

Ok, I’ve only had the real thing once in Cincinnati. I recall loving it there so I took a flyer on these cans. They arrived intact, no dents. I’ve used two cans over angel hair pasta (my bad - thin spaghetti next time) and found the taste to be fine. It is a bit thin but I think it is supposed to be? Hey, if I get a hankering for Eastern Ohio cuisine again I’d buy more.
