5+ years, going strong
Been 5 years since I have had this in my truck, still no issues at all, great cheap HUD option, tucked wires nicely, can unplug easily for smog checks or checking codes, display is nice, the only thing that stopped working was the RPM bar at the bottom, which was kind of annoying to have in the first place, so it broke to my liking, displays proper speed, proper battery voltage. Love it still!

Simple and Safe GPS HUD for Drivers
I recently got this little GPS Head-Up Display (HUD), and it's exactly what I wanted for keeping things simple while driving. It's designed to provide just the right amount of information without being overwhelming, which really helps keep my focus on the road. The display shows your speed and RPMs, with the RPMs cleverly indicated by a color display at the bottom. This streamlined approach means less visual clutter and more clarity. It hooks up to your car easily. While it does require a bit of adjusting to set the speed accurately, the process itself is straightforward and easy to use. This HUD is perfect for anyone looking for a no-fuss, safe way to keep an eye on essential driving metrics.

Works great. Easy to connect, easy to use.
I picked this one because you don't have to have all the extra garbage on your windshield. All I wanted was the speedometer. Simpler looks more stock anyway. I ran only the speedometer the first few months, only recently did I turn on the RPM line (pictured). I like having that option. I can add more too if I wanted, but overall, HUDs look better when they're simpler. If I want to know more about my car, I'll use my dashboard or bluetooth OBD reader. Instructions were simple, and in english. Not sure why so many are having issues with this step. Picture looks a little blurry but it actually looks better than that. On the brightest days around noonish, it is a little harder to see, but still visible. This can be alleviated by using the included darkened transparent film. After a weeks, I put the film on to try it out, but in the end, I removed it. I prefer the look of my windshield without the square on it and I really didn't need it anyway. At night, it's very bright. I took one star away because of the "auto" setting for brightness. I mean, it's the only real option unless you want to change it manually all the time. I feel the brightness should have several levels of Auto. At noon-time, at it's highest brightness, I can see it, but I feel like it should do better to be more usable in that scenario. On the other hand, at night, it's brighter than it needs to be. Brightness settings should not be 1, 2, 3, or "Auto." It should be Auto 1, Auto 2, or Auto 3, which each being brightest for daytime (because it'll never be too bright with the sun out), but a dimmer night setting. Like each Auto 1, Auto 2, etc could be a differently level of dimmness at night. That's a problem I find with most chinese electronics, not quite bright enough during the day, but too dang bright at night as if they're compensating at night for what they can't do during the day. Overall, I do recommend this, despite my one complaint. My complaint is common among all HUDs so if you had to choose one, pick this one. You will have to fiddle with the settings to get it calibrated to your vehicles speedometer but it's not hard, you just gotta read the instructions. Most of the bad reviews on here are because no one wants to read instructions. They plug it up and then complain.

worked great at first, but failed after getting used for a while
**Started Strong, Ended in Disappointment** I was initially impressed with this heads-up display (HUD) when I first installed it in my car. Setup was straightforward, the display was crisp and easy to read, and it added a sleek, futuristic touch to my dashboard. For the first few weeks, everything worked flawlessly—it projected speed clearly, and made driving feel safer and more high-tech. Unfortunately, that honeymoon period didn’t last. After a few months, the display started glitching—flickering, freezing, and occasionally shutting off mid-drive. I tried checking all the connections, but the issues only got worse. Now, it won’t even power on. It’s essentially a very expensive paperweight sitting on my dash. For a product that showed so much promise, the lack of durability and reliability is a major letdown. I can’t recommend this HUD unless the manufacturer seriously improves quality control and support.

OK product but has its problems
I got this at regular price mainly because I wanted a HUD and wanted to see the speed. It would be cool to have android auto/apple car play but I figured this was second best to at least have the speed. The brightness is great and easy to see in day and night. However, I had two problems with this device that I cannot give it full 5 stars 1)I connected it to my OBD2 port, works instantly (2014 Mazda 6). I left it plugged it overnight and the next day, my car would not start, all the electronics started going haywire. I ended up jumping my car battery and got it to work (Its a relatively new battery). It is inconvenient to have to unplug it every day 2)The sticky pads that came with it don't work well. They don't stick to my dashboard. I did put Armorall a few weeks ago and maybe that is why. I am gonna buy a better adhesive. For the price, it is OK, I wish I bought it on sale but I'll keep it for now.

Very simple to connect. The display is pretty easy to read in most conditions - a bit too bright for night driving sometimes. Had to adjust the speed ratio to get it to match the car but no big drama. Speed display tends to lag a bit but is only annoying in city traffic and is very usable on the highway.

It really does work well, take a little to set up, however it caused my vehicle tracker connected to the same old to malfunction, in go’s mode it is slow to keep up with changes in speed.

I had to finetune it for the correct speed and now it's working great. It's less visible but still can see it in the day, and at night it's perfect. It took a couple of tries to put the mirror sticker on the windshield so I was left with bubbles. Contacted sellees but they were not able to send replacement, but made up for it a bit. Overall I'm happy - I wish I could see it more clearly in the day and that it would come with multiple stickers. Also to have it positioned in the right place for me, the wire has to be out and visible and in my Camry, that means blocking the car clock q bit.

Everyone should stay away from this. The speed displayed by the heads up display was not correct (about 5-10km/h off). The main malfunction I experienced was a multitude of error codes when my mechanic preforms an electrical systems diagnostic caused by a short in the port this device was plugged to. I will be contacting the company for support and returning.

Initially, I was not really impressed with this and I was contemplating requesting a RETURN and Refund. The main issue was that unit ships in a state which will NOT auto power down! The base unit itself would remain lit and the backlighting of my 2018 Sport Night Edition, 6-gauge dash cluster with 7” LCD central info screen would stay ON !!... This was indefinite and would of course be a Battery KILLER! The supplied “leaflet” has poorly worded instructions in a barely readable tiny type font! and using the all-in-one single button/Jog dial for altering the unit's settings feels counter intuitive. After a lengthy and rather frustrating trial and error set-up period I was able to FINALLY get it right. This will (for RAM Classic owners) require you to get to menu item #9 and set voltage to 13.2 volts) Once you have managed to navigate this convoluted process your unit will Auto off when your dash cluster cycles through the vehicle shutdown process. Ok, after that long bit of frustration aside.. The “POSITIVES”... - Did not cause any info anomalies on the Ram Classic dash cluster and did not throw any OBD error codes! - Base Unit is fairly unobtrusive and neatly nestles onto the first ridge in the upper dash of the Ram “Classic” just behind where the VIN plate is located. For me, this location also provided what I felt was the optimal projected image unto the windshield. This location also allows for the complete concealment of the connected cabling. - Speed and Info appears to display accurately which should be expected since its just pulling OBD info. - Projected image seems bright enough in sunlight and auto adjusts as conditions darken. - For the money (once the set-up is sorted out) this is a decent, functioning useful piece of gear. The “NEGATIVES”... - There is a slight “double-image” in the glass. No amount of repositioning of the base unit will eliminate this as its an issue of simple physics! (Ie: Windshield safety glass construction) However, I have not made use of the supplied screen reflector yet. I am trying to avoid affixing anything to my glass at this point. - TERRIBLE instructions! A little bit more detail may have taken 1 hour of frustration out of the process. I was almost at the point of wanting to call Amazon to request a refund! In the end, this was almost exactly what I was hoping for! I had been used to having a HUD in some of my prior vehicles and I missed having one. This unit allows me to leave my LCD cluster in the “Fuel Eco.” Screen or “Tire Pressure” Screen while projecting my Speed into the windshield glass. I set the unit to be as clean as possible by showing SPEED ONLY.. (No bar graph or useless dots) I have to say that this thing is fantastic during night driving. After getting the unit to now properly power down I am going to up my rating to 4* where it would have been 1* (ZERO) if I had ended up returning it. At some point I may try using the supplied transparent reflector screen to see if it cleans up the image a bit and will report back if I think it affects my rating. For now, the image is acceptable to me. Sorry for the LONG RAMBLE, but I hope it will help 2013-2019 RAM "Classic" owners to get the most out of this product. One final note: I did not attempt to use this in the USB powered mode at all and can offer zero input as to trying to use this in that way. As far as I am concerned, the whole point of having one of these is that it can function and gets its required power simply by connecting directly to the OBD port.
