Will this work with a Lenovo B50-80 laptop?

Looks like it will work, but I would check the model details on the NETELY site.

Will this work right away? How will the driver be downloaded when there is no wifi yet? Will there be a default driver that windows will use?

Windows 8.0, 8.1, 10, 11 (32/64bit) support plug and play, no need to download drivers.

Is toshiba c55-b laptop compatible? i can't get bt to work at all; tried several drivers. bt icon shows in win 10 x64, but no connect. wifi is great.

Very important to download the drivers BEFORE installing the card. Install the card then right click on the driver and "run as administrator". I haven't had any issues since installing it this way.

Will this provide Bluetooth in a 2010 Mac Pro 5,1?

As far as I understand QLCM does not have a driver for MAC, also I am not sure that the form factor match the MAC. In general I would answer no it will not provide
