Amazing scope value
I wasn't sure what to expect from this scope but was instantly impressed when I got ahold of it. It's VERY sturdy and absolutely NOTHING feels at all cheap about it. I mounted it to a Marlin 60 and took it to the range. 4 shots and I had it zeroed. I've since fired in excess of 1000 rounds and only adjusted it due to ammo changes which was easy because of the return to zero turrets. After I was done with that ammo I simply returned to turrets to zero and with the regular ammo I shoot was back on the bull. The illumination is great as well. While I have no need for all the colors, I've found in addition to the red and green, blue and teal? are probably my favs. The flip up sunshades are well built too. The snap open and closed firmly and stay put. A simple flip of your thumb and the spring loaded caps flip up. I have nothing negative to say about it! It's not small by any means or light but that's pretty easy to tell from looking at it. If you're hesitant because it's not the most $$ scope out there, don't be! I'm shocked it is so cheap after owning it. I'd easily pay 50% more or even 2X and still be happy. ******UPDATE***** I've now had this scope for over two years. It has switched between 3-4 different rifles of varying power and the UTG scope has continued to do the job. In the two years I've had this scope I've purchased a handful of other scopes, mostly mid-high end costing between $500 to $1200. Is the UTG as nice as the way more expensive scopes? Of course not BUT it is still a nice scope for a limited budget. It's fairly clear, magnifies the target and holds its zero which is pretty much all you should expect from a budget priced optic..

Great scope, colors a gimmick
I have this on my Benjamin Discovery in .177, and I am doing my part with the rifle benched, I can get single hole 5 shot groupings at 10 yds with its preferred pellet. I haven't taken the time to do longer ranges, but I am sure the scope will perform as expected. This is one of the best value scopes out there in terms of features/cost. The magnification range is perfect for off hand shooting - any higher magnification for me would be too much, and actually make shooting more difficult due to not being steady, and not able to track movement easily through the scope. I did add the 80 mm wheel, which makes adjusting the parallax much easier. The turret knob originally was a bit difficult to turn, but it did loosen up, and the wheel makes it a non-issue. The one complaint is the illuminated reticle, which I don't use. There is a good amount of light reflecting off the insides, and I don't find having all the colors to be that useful for me, though it may be for someone else. The battery compartment was a bit difficult to thread properly as well. Even with that single complaint, this is still worth 5 stars to me. This would still be rated that highly even if it did not have an illuminated reticle. Keep your expectations in line, this does not have an etched glass reticle, and will not be as clear as scopes costing factors more. For what it is though, I am extremely pleased.

Great Value
I purchased this scope about a year ago and wanted to get some time in with it before I wrote a review. I have the scope mounted on a Savage Mk II and it's been great! What I like: - Holds zero like a champ despite being slung across my back while hiking and being handled somewhat rough. - Comes with some very sturdy mounting hardware so you don't have extra expense of getting scope rings. - Mil dots make for easy compensation for drop and wind (which is nice on a 22 when you get out to 100+ yards) - Very low cost compared to other scopes of similar power What I'm not a huge fan of: - The weight - it's a bit on the heavy side (but I'd rather have high quality and heavy vs. light and cheap!) - The reticle color selector started off working great but now acts weird, I can get some colors to work but I just stick to red and green. - The reticle illumination is difficult to turn on and off, I'd rather have one color and a simple on/off switch. - The cover for the battery feels very cheap, I feel like I'm going to strip it every time I take it off. A better design would be nice. - The sight picture, while good enough to get the job done, is horrible compared to the expensive scopes. My Burris, Leupolds, and Swarovski have phenomenal clarity but also cost six times as much. Bottom line: Great scope for the money and I'm very happy I have it on my gun. I'd recommend NOT getting the 36 color selector because it's clumsy to use and not very reliable. The high end scopes do have a much better image when you look through the scope, and they weigh less but if you don't want to spend $600 and you want a good scope that will get the job done this is a good low cost alternative. If they had a better switch for the illumination and color selector I'd give it 5 stars.

Definitely go for UTG scopes.
Perfect. My 3rd UTG Scope. Simple, tough, and accurate for my needs. Love the quality of them (even though they're made in China). You won't need most of the "36" colors, and most people may entertain using 2 of them (red and green), and off (black). It is tough, I've used these reliably on rifles that destroyed Pentax/Nikon scopes with recoil. Comes with lens covers. I went out and picked up a Butler Creek flip cover for the lens closest to the shooters eye because it has a button to open with, but the covers the scope comes with work pretty good. The zoom works great. The buttons and switches work smoothly. The quality of the lens' seem good enough that I can't tell the difference in quality between this and mid-range priced scopes. If there was a downside to UTG scopes, it's that they are heavy due to the way they are built. I definitely recommend them. This is my 3rd UTG scope I've purchased from Amazon. They just work for me. I don't feel like I need to baby them. 'Besides, If I were to break it, I won't be crying over its loss. Go ahead and risk it.

This is an attractive scope and looks good on a rifle. I bought it to fit my Smith & Wesson semi-auto rifle but I found that it did not hold the zero point. I had the installation checked and all fixings were tight and the scope seemed rigidly mounted. I noticed that I often had to re-zero on the range after I took my rifle out of its case. In addition one or two shots would be off zero from a string of ten shots shot from a steady bipod. I have been rifle shooting for 60 years and I am convinced , as is the gunsmith, that the problem lies with the scope. I would have liked to return or exchange the scope but the date is now beyond the time scale allowed by Amazon for returns. I hope the suppliers read this review. UPDATE: I contacted Amazon about this issue and, in spite of the late request, they offered me an exchange unit or a complete refund. I decided to take the refund and think about what to do next. As usual, excellent customer service from Amazon!

A great scope, thou a little on the heavy side, but with a lot of features. I have been purchasing Leapers for many years and found them to be of the up most reliability. For their asking price you get very good optics, a strong tube design and the ability to take strong recoil. I would not hesitate to recommend mounting this scope on a strong recoiling air rifle as high power spring/piston guns are very hard on certain scopes. The side focus is a must as it makes it so much easier than reaching to the front to adjust the objective focus ring. It makes it easy to define your distance as you can see those marks on the side wheel. For the extra money, it is wise to order the UTG New Gen 80mm add on A.O wheel.

Pretty decent scope. Glass is pretty clear, I could see The bullet holes at 100 yards. put it on a ruger 1022. It's a little bigger then I would like, but other then that great scope at this price point.

I'm very impressed with this scope, little on the heavy side but it is a big scope. I'm trying this on my CZ 512-22mag, scope mounted no site in yet. Yes; I'll say that this is a very good buy for the money, get this or the shorter version.,
