Lizard Skins LizardSkin 50100 Ceramic Insulation - 2 Gallon Black

I usually purchase this from Jegs but I found it on amazon for the same price and no shipping charge.

I first bought this product to spray the inside of my motorcycle aluminum saddle bags. After a few coats of Lizard Skin both of my saddle bags became mini ice chests! This year I used it to insulate steel columns that were acting as giant cold sinks in my all-glass and steel country house. With snow on the roof during winter the icy temps would travel down the interior steel columns to radiate the cold enough to feel it from a few feet away. After spraying the columns with two coats, not only did this cold transfer stop but the Lizard Skin texture became an architectural plus!

Don’t buy this from Amazon. My delivery was expired (and the manufacturers expiration date label was removed). I had the product for about 60 days prior to opening waiting on my truck from the body shop. By the time I realized it was too late to do anything with Amazon. BUY THIS DIRECTLY FROM LIZARd SKIN, great product and their customer support was awesome. They were very apologetic and helpful.

Works great. Easy to spray. Low overspray. Topcoat looks great over it.

I posted a YouTube video testing its effectiveness on a semi truck fuel tank. We were testing its ability to keep tank temperatures down and it performed well. It’s easy to apply and clean up and you can apply it in a variety of textures. I do think it’s too expensive.

This stuff is super light weight. I highly recommend purchasing the proper Lizardskin recommended sprayer. The product is so light weight, a normal undercoating gun won't flow properly with it. I tried and it doesn't work. The proper applicator gets the job done very quickly. I did a Model A interior, front to back, floor to ceiling in very little time with just one bucket. Water based clean-up is very good. This product works as advertised. I can drive with bare feet on this product. Without it, my headers heated the floor enough to burn my feet. I will be buying another bucket soon for my next build.

This product had dried up and we were unable to spray it. Broke it up and tried several different things to make it pliable but could not get it to spray. LizardSkin said there were issues with the product that was being sold on Amazon. I recommend using immediately after purchase.
