Review: Light and easy to use for loose crocheters - I was worried after reading some comments that the thin crochet hooks are a bit weak and it breaks... Well, I’ve been knitting/crocheting for more than 20 years since I was a kid, and I am a loose knitter. For me, it is not causing any trouble at all. It’s light-weight (I’ve normally used metal hooks) and the hook stays in the knitted project (doesn’t slip out like a metal one). It’s actually not so flimsy at all for me. It’s very similar to my Boye crochet hooks that are plastic. I love how it doesn’t give my wrists stress due to even the tiny-est discomfort from the weight. (I may be just a bit picky with the weight, though). So if you are a beginner or a tight-knitter, the thin ones can feel flimsy and it could even break. I’d recommend metal hooks for those people. However, for loose knitters/crocheters or people who are skilled enough to control tension and tightness well accordingly to the type of yarn and the material of the crochet hooks, I think these are great to use. Review: Average for - Average for the price. Only purchased for the large sizes to make a bulky blanket.
