Easy Assembly UH-1C Huey Airplane Model Building Kit

This is a very good kit for beginers or skilled modelers. The front windsheild and roof is moulded as one clear piece. The fit is excellent, and it helps weigh down the model, although some noseweight is still needed to avoid a tail sitter. My only criticism is the Huey should have come with pilots, and the door should have been left open. Otherwise, this is a great kit of a legendary aircraft.

This is a very simple but very nicely fitting kit. There aren't many parts - I believe I counted around 35 parts, including the two fuselage halves and clear parts. The rest of the parts come on a single sprue. This is a *very* simple kit. It's not the most highly detailed - but you won't really see a lot of what's going on either. The side doors, though they have good size clear windows, are molded shut, so the interior pretty much works for what little you can see. You *could* detail it more with aftermarket parts, but there's very little I'd consider worth adding. (There are more detailed kits with more options, such as opening side doors or engine bays, if you want to do that.) Even without trying to rush, this kit can very realistically go from "Open the box" to "Put the finished model on the shelf" in a weekend, potentially even a single day. I wasn't quite sure what to expect fit-and-finish wise with this kit - old molds? Giant gaps? But the kit really went together very easily - if you're looking for something to build with a younger modeler or something to start with - or even just a break from more complex kits - this is great. You do need paint and glue to finish this. Honestly, if you just want to model paint schemes (or make a few up yourself,) and that's the part of it you find fun? You'll love this kit as well.
