Review: Reliable String but packaging could be better - Good string, but I wish they would sell it in some type of sealed plastic wrap to prevent corrosion in highly humid climates. Other brands like D'Addario strings come in resealable plastic packaging, so I do not understand why these Ernie Ball strings don't. I have used Ernie Ball strings for many years and will attest to the quality of the strings, but the paper wrapping is just a bad idea. So now I keep my supply of reserve strings in plastic freezer bags normally used for food storage to prevent string corrosion. Review: pure nickel roundwound wrap softens gain - pure nickel roundwound wrap is backseated because iron plated nickel roundwound wraps are louder & crisper what'isnt realized is that the pure nickel wrap permits configuring higher preamp gains inviting very luscious dripping wet signatures esp for lead the les paul 500k linear taper controls impedance resulting in an ergonomically controlled ramp (easy dialing into desired signature) ## Features - 3 pack of fresh Ernie Ball Nickel Wound electric guitar strings in your favorite size ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0002GYXFK | | Best Sellers Rank | #12,121 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #119 in Electric Guitar Strings | | Brand | Ernie Ball | | Brand Name | Ernie Ball | | Coating Description | coated | | Color | metallic | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 50 Reviews | | Finish Type | Polymer Coated | | Instrument | Electric Guitar | | Manufacturer | Ernie Ball | | Manufacturer Part Number | P00124 | | Model Number | P00124 | | Number of Items | 3 | | Number of Packs | 3 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Lower tuning combinations, Drop D & Drop C tuning | | String Gauge | Heavy | | String Material Type | Nickel Steel | | UPC | 749699101246 | | Unit Count | 3 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ernie Ball - **Color:** metallic - **Instrument:** Electric Guitar - **String Gauge:** Heavy - **String Material Type:** Nickel Steel ## Images ![Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack .024 3-Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qDNH5NPoL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable String but packaging could be better *by R***O on May 13, 2024* Good string, but I wish they would sell it in some type of sealed plastic wrap to prevent corrosion in highly humid climates.
